Have you ever had a spiritual experience (without drugs)? Did it change you at all?

I dreamed this 2 weeks before my father in law when in for triple by pass surgery, he was very sick, and weak, and they had given him a 50/ 50 chance of making it out of the hospital...he was in his early 70's...the doctors had been keeping and eye on a blockage he had in a artery for many years and it was getting bigger and giving him a lot of problems so they did all the scams, MRI, cat, x-rays and so on..and had this problem well documented...like I said I dreamed this 2 days before. My husband and I were young Christians at the time...about 8 months, anyway at the hospital we went in ,my husband, his sister, her pastor, and me and we gathered around his bed before he was to go in, I was holding his hand, and as we were praying, i got this feeling of calm and peace,I knew ever thing was going to be OK, well that day before we left home for the hospital, I couldn't get the dream off my mind, it was almost like angels were telling me over and over, to write it down, and it felt like a powerful urge to do so,it was driving me nuts, so I took a pad with me, and after they took him into surgery...I got comfortable with the family and started writing in a corner of the waiting room, the words flew out of my head and I was writing like I had never written before, you see I have a muscle disorder and i can't write and control my hands like I did years earlier...I wrote this in less than 25 minutes, and in less than 45 minutes they called out and said they couldn't find the blockage while they were doing the heart catherazation and his arteries were clear,and he could go home. that day
when i read what i had written ,it was a poem and I'm not a poet, and even if I was I couldn't have written it that fast. I had from the time I left home felt like i was with angels , why I don't know... well he went home that was 4 years ago and he's still doing good for an almost 80 year old man..so here's what I wrote that day, and a lot of people have read it and it has changed their life's, I claim no input for the poem other than the hand holding the pen...the words came from angels, directed by God.

THE DREAM

I DREAMED ONE NIGHT TWO ANGELS CAME TO MY BED. THEY TOOK ME TO HEAVEN I FELT I HAD NOTHING
TO DREAD. WE STOOD IN FRONT OF A BIG WHITE GATE. IT OPENED SLOWLY AS WE STOOD IN WAIT.
MANY CLOUDS BILLOWED AND SWIRLED ABOUT US AS I STOOD IN AWE OF THE SIGHTS AND SOUNDS THAT
SURROUNDED US. WHAT I SAW WORDS COULD NOT EXPRESS, I WANTED TO STAY AT THIS BEAUTIFUL ADDRESS.
THE ANGELS ALLOWED ME TO LOOK INSIDE, THE BEAUTY THE MAJESTY, MADE ME CRY.
"IT'S TRUE, IT'S ALL TRUE, I KNOW THAT IT'S TRUE" I HEARD MYSELF CRY, AS TEARS RAN STREAMING
FROM MY EYES.
I KNEW WHAT I SAW WAS NOT OF THIS EARTH,THIS CREATION WAS FOR THOSE OF THE NEW BIRTH. THE
POWER, THE BEAUTY, THE SIGHT OF IT ALL WAS SO STRONG,THAT THE ANGELS SHUT THE GATES QUICKLY
TO MY NEW HOME. "IT'S NOT YOUR TIME," I HEARD THEM SAY, " WE JUST WANTED YOU TO SEE WHAT WAS
ON THE WAY," THEY SAID "YOU WILL NOT REMEMBER WHAT YOU HAVE SEEN INSIDE THE GATE, BUT YOU WILL REMEMBER WHERE
YOU HAVE BEEN.YOU MUST TELL OTHERS ABOUT THIS DREAM. THAT GOD'S WORD IS TRUE. IT'S THE REAL THING.
GOD HAS LET YOU SEE WHAT IS YOUR REWARD IF YOU WORSHIP, LOVE HIM, AND KEEP HIS WORD."
WE ALL NEED TO REALIZE THAT IT'S REALLY TRUE. WE NEED TO GET THE LOST ONES IN IF IT'S ALL THAT WE
DO. WE DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME, THE END IS NEAR, AND YES, IF YOU ARE LOST YOU HAVE EVERYTHING TO FEAR.
CALL ON JESUS NOW, SO YOU CAN GO TO AND YOU'LL SEE WHAT I SAW AND YOU'LL BE EXCITED TOO.
I'LL SOON BE IN MY NEW HOME,PASS THE BIG WHITE GATES. DON'T YOU WANT TO GO THERE TOO? I JUST CAN'T
WAIT!!!!


I REALLY DREAMED THIS DREAM JUST AS IT IS WRITTEN. I FEEL IT WAS INSPIRED BY GOD AND HE GUIDED MY
THOUGHTS AND MY HAND IN PUTTING THIS TOGETHER.

I AM GIVING THIS TO YOU BECAUSE I LOVE YOU AND GOD HAS DIRECTED ME TO DO SO.
I HOPE THIS MESSAGE WILL HELP YOU TO MAKE THE BIGGEST DECISION OF YOUR LIFE
TO ACCEPT JESUS AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOR AND TO SERVE HIM. SO YOU, ONE DAY
WILL STAND AT THE BIG WHITE GATES AND BE INVITED IN TO STAY, FOR ETERNITY.

Had some prayers answered and some not. When l was young l asked God to help me stop biting nails and he did , except only 9 out of 10 nails also prayed that mum would recover from road accident and she did not die and has lived 8 years past the time given to her by doctors, althoughshe is in first class care in a home. Had a couple of supernatural experiences. One day in church l heard the voice that would one day raise the dead it nearly knocked me off my chair and l ran out crying. Another time a few years ago l was in the kitchen on my own and heard, "Don't be anxious child" I was soo touched by the power of that encounter.....! it was not my own mind conjuring. I thought it was christ or a guardian angel Trouble is you just want more. Hearing from God. you just want to touch, hear feel Him I used to petition God about this all the time. Really annoy Him because l just wanted to converse with God and get a reply instantly. 6 months later a man arrived at my door, a christian new to church, We are now married and l have what l lacked , touching, talking, communing,seeing hearing with my husband. God provides.. I didn't ask for a partner nor wanted one but He saw what l really needed

Yeah. Sometimes when I am in a place where everyone is worshiping and sometimes when I am in my alone time with God. I am a spirit-filled and spirit-gifted Christian. I can pray in tongues and I'm sure I have many other gifts that I am discovering everyday (not as in I'm something special kind of gifts, but as in things that I was not able to of myself.)
I usually will experience an extra-ordinary feeling of peace and I will feel as though I can't move and will just feel like thanking and worshiping God. It's such a beautiful experience.

Yes and Yes. But they are so very dear to me that I share them only as I feel prompted or with close friends and family. I dont like the way most of the world tramples on things that are sacred or special with no regard for others feelings. Especially in a forum like this one where they dont have to look the person in the eye while they do their best to hurt them. I understand your interest though as there is such a rush from hearing those amazing stories.

I got Baptized last year when i was 17, i went through months of RCIA classes and went to church every sunday for those months...im still not a VERY religous person but it was the most amazing/spiritual moment of my life when i was standing in the font having the oil poured over my head.

I was preparing for a paper on Zen Buddhism and I had an amazing moment of clarity when I came out of the library. It was just a beautiful moment that did not last. I felt connected, unafraid and my mind was not endlessly prattering. Then it left me. It was a glimpse and I am thankful for it.
