Sad isn't it. Millions of 'em running around calling themselves Christians, praying for this and that, condeming others to hell, quoting what is a sin and what isn't and none have a clue what is or isn't true. Just what they have heard or read from a book designed for the weakminded of several thousand years ago. Pitiful

OK
A: You need to be legitimately sorry for your sins.
B: Christians aren't anymore perfect then Atheist are... We never claim to be perfect.. We still sin but we know we are covered by Jesus when he died on the cross. (he took the punishment for every-ones sins past, present, and future sins)
C: OK lets say that a murder see the errors of his ways.... he ask Jesus into his heart and to be forgiven..... He would go to heaven. But if he continues to kill people (this isn't very Christ-like Christ wouldn't want us to kill people) If the murder stopped killing people then repented but then he continued to kill people that doesn't sound very Christ like. So if that's not a very Christ like it would be under- debate if he was really ever sorry in the first place, and if he really ever accept Christ in the first place.
As a Christian I never tell people that I never sin, I do... sometimes when I see an attractive girl I lust... but the more in my relationship with Christ I grow the less I want to sin and the less I do. Will I ever become perfect? No of course not... and I know that, I also know that's why we needs god's grace.
We shouldn't use God's forgiveness as a free ticket to heaven and still do bad-things.... but unfortunately it does happen. Some people ask Jesus into thier hearts as their savior just so they can go to heaven... But then they are out sleeping around etc. They don't relizese that their is more to God then just getting your ticket to heaven stamped. Their is a new way of life that comes with it. Some responsibilities....etc.
some of those responibiltites inculed trying to live a lifestyle that would praise, glofily, and that woud honor God. (Do I always succed in this? No but I do my best)

No we don't. If you have found Jesus after your act then that is easily forgiven because you were still of the world when the sin or sins took place, now if you have already given your life to Jesus and continue to sin then that isn't tolerated so its not a "have your cake and eat it too" kind of thing, you have to stop sinning when you give your life to Jesus.
That's why there are a lot of born again Christians in Prison and that's great, but there are a lot of hypocrites that are in and out also. God is a forgiving god but not a stupid one and atonement must be genuine before its accepted. It would really behoove you to read the bible because it talks about such things in that great and wonderful guide book.
Thank you and God bless.

God is just. He chooses what He forgives, and He chooses to forgive ALL who sincerely repent and turn to Him. Yes, really, that's all it takes.
Yes, Christians still sin. We all slip, every day, and the biggest reason it's so bad is because it ruins our testimony to those that would question us. We look like hypocrites sometimes, probably because to turn to God at the exact moment of a public sin would make us look even MORE hypocritical. That's all. I wish we could all live a perfect life, but then there would be those that would accuse us of being "holier than thou." I do think that it's better for all to know that Christians DO sin, as long as you also know that we usually don't intend to and most of the time do turn back to God later for forgiveness.
Have a great night!

You have a right to feel any way you want to. But I would advise that you find out a little bit more of what you are talking about before you comment on what a Christian thinks or doesn't think. And also study the Bible ( not just read it) before you make comments about something that you obviously don't understand. The Bible says that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. But Jesus was sent to redeem our sins. You can't just lie, or cuss, or kill and think that it is all right. Sure Christians are human and they make mistakes. But we must strive to not do the same thing again. No one is perfect. But when we make mistakes, we can go to God and ask forgiveness. But God knows the heart of each one who seeks forgiveness, and if it is not sincere, then He will know. If it is, He will know that also. Only God can forgive. And only God knows who is sincere or not. Please study your Bible.

Actually God has chosen what He will forgive. All sin is forgive able if you are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ (a choice only you can make). It takes a broken heart over what you have done and asking God to forgive you. There is one exception: rejection of the Holy Spirit when He reveals the reality of Jesus Christ, His death, burial, and resurrection on your behalf, so that you can be forgiven of all those sins mentioned above. You don't get forgiveness by just asking....God sees your heart and identifies true repentance. There's a lot more involved than just saying you're sorry.

It is true, if you ask for forgiveness you can receive internal life in heaven. Repentance is also needed. You walk away from your sin. It is hard for someone to understand but when you truly accept Jesus as you Savior it cause a fundamental change in your being. As the bible says you are transformed and your mind is renewed. We will all sin even Christians because we are human and not perfect. It is something we all accept. The difference is that transformation that occurs. You do not seek to sin, you learn to use the power that God has given you to stay away from sin. We do not pick and choose who God forgives that not for us to judge. Only God knows what is truly in your heat of hearts. That is what counts.

That is NOT what BIBLICAL Christianity teaches!
You are making WAY TOO MANY hasty generalizations!
Take a look at this:Romans 6:1-3 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)
Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984 by International Bible Society
Romans 6
Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ
1What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
Biblical Christians take sin VERY seriously! Jesus freed us from the penalty of sin.
Yes we still do sin, but unlike before we came to know Christ, we no longer have to live under it's domination!
We are free from the influence of sin, when we trust in God to help us deal with temptations!
This is NOT saying that we will never sin again. Rather, it is an encouragement to all believers, that because of God's grace, we are not condemmed to live under the curse of sin!
As Jesus pointed out here:
John 8:31-32 (New International Version)
The Children of Abraham
31To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

Most try to be good but like any group there are some that don't do what they are supposed to and even us trying... well we fail now and again. Many Christians say they are but aren't too, you can see that just by the way they live. That is why we are told to try and be like Jesus not the minster on TV or the Pope etc. and when we do the wrong thing then repentance and trying not to do it again are what is required for forgiveness. I know I sure have a ways to go!
I am just glad God loved us so much that he sent Jesus to pay for our sins! I don't take God's name in vain, steal or commit adultry but I sure have a way to go.

I agree with fruitcake. Thanks for telling the truth. Yes, we all sin. Believers and unbelievers alike. Except there is a being out there caled the Holy Spirit. Who is, literally, the Spirit of God, not God Himself, but His Spirit. Now when a human being chooses to be with Christ the Spirit of God then comes inside the human being and straightens him out, so to say. How? By "renewing his mind" and giving him "a new heart" so that the person actually wants to do good!! ..and change his ways. I know because before I chose to be with Jesus I hated all people; of all kinds, shapes, colors and sizes, honestly. After my coming to the Son of God and "meeting" Him, all that anger and hatereth towards man-kind went away (and I'm not liying either.) That's just one of the changes that happened. Now I know that it is the truth; I mean Christianity, and the faith in Jesus Christ.

All people sin, including Christians. Isn't it wonderful that God loves us anyway? Christians are not Jesus Christ who lived perfectly. Christians just admit they sin, whereas nonbelievers do not believe in that concept. Christians try not to sin, tho no one is successful. If you look at Christians and expect to see a perfect person, like Jesus, you will always be disappointed. Yes, killers can be forgiven. Doesn't mean he/she can keep on killing. Sincerity is what counts with God.
