I would say it would be safe to remove your underwear. As far as anything else, you may have to show proof of who purchased it. Right now, it's all civil.

As you still live there, I'd just make sure i could get all my stuff out in big trip - just be really organised about where you can take stuff, organise a truck if you need one, and in preparing to go (and you don't want her to know about it) do little things, like check your CDs are in their cases and stuff like that so you can pick up and go quickly.

You don't need to contact a lawyer if you still live there however if she is claiming she paid for the things you are trying to get, then you need to go to civil court and sue her. Have your receipts ready. If she won't willingly let you get your things or causes trouble, then call for a police escort and explain that you are having problems and just want to get some things and go.

you live there, you have legal access? no problem at all. just go get it. make DAMN sure you get it in one trip!!! probably will be destroyed or missing if you try to come back.

if you can, get a cop to accompany you. they might be too busy...

if so, have someone come wwith you with a video recorder, and videotape EVERYTHING as you take your stuff

Ask a cop to accompany you. You might even be able to hire one off duty. It's an invaluable witness, especially if she tries to get violent. Beware of he said / she said situations.

Around here if she says you hit her, somebody goes to jail (You). You are guilty until proven innocent. It's a favorite ploy. Have someone with you.

If you live there, take your stuff with you when you leave. What prevents you from doing if?

YOU OWN IT.
YOUR NOT MARRIED.
DID YOU GIVE IT TO HER?

IF YOU GAVE IT TO HER THEN LEGALLY IT IS HERS.
