I'd like to retract the word "confess" and replace it with "share." We've all been in situations where we've reacted in a retalitory manner that perhaps didn't make us proud, but at the same time made us feel good. This question isn't about ugly premeditated revenge, but just perhaps a gut reaction to feeling slighted. For example, years ago, when gas stations were transitioning from full to self serve, I drove into self serve, but couldn't get the gas cap off. The attendant was within arms length watching me and laughing. I finally turned to him and asked him for help. He laughed and pointed to full serve. So, I got in my car and drove to full serve. There, I asked him to fill the tank with a dollars worth of gas (at that time I think I got more than a gallons worth), check the oil and clean the windows, which he did with out compaint. I then drove to the competing gas station and waved as I filled my tank. And he waved back! In the end, I thought he was rather cool.

I don't believe in a soul, so confession will do it no good. I have nothing to retaliate against. Feeling persecuted?

I slept with my ex just to spite his new girlfriend he cheated on me with. It didn't make me feel any better but it made her feel worse.
