Think outside the box of chocolates, sorry. lol He likes music.... Concerts in town? Beatles cover-band local? Night out on the town. Then end his Bday with you seducing him. Show him that you care. If his friends want to do something for him on his Bday, it's okay be there with him and for him. Schedule your day with him around whatever works for him. Make sure he knows that you have given serious thought to his day. Enjoy being with him and let him know that. Ego stroking is always welcome ! ! A baseball glove would be great set-up gift if you can get concert tickets for the weekend after his Bday. Let him think that the glove is all you got him. Then surprise him with the night out. :D Good Luck ! ! Have Fun ! !

Go to the music store, and get a book of Beatles tabs. Theres nothing better than to be able to play the music you like.
But if he's a good guitar player, he probably knows a lot of beatles tunes...
If thats the case, get him a sweet beatles t-shirt (i can never have too many of those)-- Or maybe a framed picture/poster.
Steer clear of flowers and chocolates-- guys aren't really into that sort of stuff.
Edit: This question is so cute. My ex was a jehovahs witness, so i rarely got any gifts.

He would like something that he can use more. Chocolate only last a few minutes and flowers die. However that baseball glove or a Beatles cd or record could last a long time!

Chocolates, unless you live in Japan, then you girls give chocolates to your loved ones. So we have a rocker, and a baseball fan mixed in two. From a guy's perspective, he is wanting something of those two, either mixed or just one or the other. Find out what he likes best, baseball or guitar. To buy him a new guitar would be cool, that all depends on how much you are willing to spend. They can go from $299-$1,000 +. You could buy him a new bat or so, go to Academy, they have good stuff there. You can always try some other sport store and check out what's there.

Something he needs would probably be best. Guys, when it comes to gifts, don't get very sentimental unless its for a girl.
Baseball.....hmmm....
What's his favorite team? Do you live close to the city that has a Major League Baseball Team?
If you do live near a Baseball team stadium, see if his favorite team is playing there when the season starts. Then, on his Birthday, bring him to the computer, go to the Baseball Team's schedule, and tell him "For your birthday, I'm going to take you to this game."
I wouldn't buy tickets before you tell him because he may have something planned on that day or can't make it for some other reason.

Definatly not chocolate and flowers. Men don't like that kind of stuff. I would get my husband a gift card to Best Buy so that he can pick his own cd or game
