I think Justin H understood what I meant. I'm actually pretty disappointed in most of the answers, I guess my avatar threw you folks off a little. I understand very well the mindset of Atheists with a Christian background. It's not race, it's the Christian culture. With Islamic culture being distinctly different than Christian culture, I assume that even though both would reject the idea of any god, there would be some differences due to the differing backgrounds.

Atheism is equally different fom any religion who believe in God, you may associate atheism with budhism etc, which does not emphasis on God but only discuss spiritual issues

Islamic atheists?
Christian atheist?
Atheism is the absence of belief in deities, any deities.
So exactly how could there be Islamic or Christian atheists?
If someone ever described themselves to you as an atheist from Islam (or an atheist from Christianity) I would seriously doubt their claim of being an atheist at all.

If someone has grown up in an Islamic country, their perspective on the world is going to be different than someone who has grown up in a Christian country. But the same could be said of someone who grows up in the US versus someone who grows up in Africa.

If someone is truly an atheist they are going to feel that way about all religions. But they may focus their arguments and beliefs at the most common religion around them.

Yes, they do differ, greatly.

In it's bare form, a religion is a set of moral principles on how to run or govern ones life.

Those in primarily Islamic or Muslim nations have different moral and ethical values to those from primarily christian countries.

Athiesm is not a religion, it is a lack of beleif in a power greater than the physical manifestation of ones self.

Atheists all differ in there own thoughts and beliefs of what exists or doesn't exist and who saves whom or whether or not anyone can be saved at all. But all atheists do not believe in God no matter what geographical area one is raised.

NO! Any one who sees that whatever their bs religion is ....is just a stupid man made fairy tale....made my some hooked nosed jew or arab.... They will feel betrayed inside just the same no matter what fairy tale they were brainwashed to believe in. They get cought up in pushing religions and fairy tales and promoting wars. Religions are just fairy tales. A real God or goddess would promote love not killing people. There is no devil or hell that was made up my christians.
Muslems are even more insaine. Its a fantasy. They are not gona get sex from virgins after they are dead. What a load of crap.. and they kill people thinking when they die they get virgins? how perverted! A Loveing god or goddes has
a message of love not death.

I would guess that Atheists are Atheists, regardless of their ethnic backgrounds. They deny the existence of God, or Allah, in the case of Islamics.

That is just plain stupid. All athiests are athiest to islam and christianity. My guess is you have religion mixed up with race which means your mind space is too little to comprehend anything I might say, so i'll stop here.

It's like having a brother from a different mother.

Atheism is the disbelief in any Gods. After that we get to discuss our minority status in our respective cultures.
