World Series of Poker, final table
Jerry Yang and family began praying for cards to be in his favor while a woman prayed for her lover to same god for the same
both gambled, one won against the other Christian
this was the best way to show "god on my side" is a folly as no god would approve or bless either

God loves all His creations, and since faiths are basically man-made, He could care less about different faiths. God even answers prayers of infidels, murderers and thieves. What do you think of that? What's to explain? Prayers are always answered, although not always in the way that man expects.

How wonderful that God chose to answer their prayer. I wouldn't really feel the need to seek out an explanation. God can answer the prayers of whomever He chooses. Not everybody whose prayers are answered will necessarily subscribe any one particular belief system.

How do you know that your religion is the only religion that God answers to? Ho do you explain the different types of Christianity that all believe in the same thing but in different ways? Is your God so petty that he only answer your particular religion's followers? If he is, then I really feel sorry for you. I will keep you in my prayers.

None. I think it would be grandiose for me to assume that I had even the slightest idea why something like God does what it does. If hard pressed on the issue I might suggest that maybe God has a party line.....

The explanation is simple: No matter what name we call Him, we are all praying to the same God...He doesn't discriminate against one religion for all of them show Him the same love and devotion, only in different ways.

You can't be so sure it was God who answered their prayers. It could have been the devil helping them out for all you know.

You mean like that goat sacrifice that saved some airplanes?

Ummm.... just like the answer to our prayers to God is sometimes "no", he answers some prayers that aren't to him "yes". Sort of like picking up mail for a friend when they are on vacation.
