I'm 18 and I live in NYC. Strangers compliment me sometimes saying I look pretty and beautiful/etc... I'm also a nice person, but it seems like I can't get a boyfriend. What can I do to get one?

i would figure out what your interests are and then join community groups with that common interest. there you can meet men in a stress free, relaxed environment where you can interact and get to know someone without pressure. it's a great way to meet someone promising. good luck!!

Do you need a boyfriend to validate yourself as a person? It seems boyfriends are status symbols and girls want them because it makes them feel "worthy" and "beautiful". Being single is the best time to find out who you are. When you're tied up in the dramas of a relationship, how are you going to find out who you are? Use this time to have fun.

ask yourself what you need a man for? you really do not need one since you are so young.. If you want a social life that is fine, just do not get too involved too fast.. remember you are a very valuable person and what you have to give in a relationship is of the greatest value..so do not give it away like candy but like gold..

just relax. since you want one so bad guys might be sensing that and they are like puppies. they tend to get a little freaked easily. so just consider your options but dont stress.
