Can I tie dyre with Crystal Lite?

I know that you can use Kool Aid, but does it work the same for Crystal Lite?

Crystal Lite should work, since it has the same kinds of food dyes. However, the amount of dye is very small compared to Kool Aid, and instead of vibrant swirls of color you will get very subtle washes of color.

I have never heard of using Kool Aid but I do know that you can use food coloring and soda ash then vinegar to set the color.
