For a nose stud?
If you could tell me the right age, & if you have had yours done, if you could tell me your experience.
I AM 14, but I just want to know what the experience was & I still am researchin... so this way I can talk this over with my parents why I want this, instead of just asking them right away! ;D
Thanks ! =D

Nose piercings always make people look like they missed a bugger the last time they blew their nose. It makes anyone look trashy. I wouldn't do it.

I got my ears pierced at about 13 or 14 but like any hole that u r putting in your body it hurts. For me it was about 20 seconds of pain but for others it might be worse. of Course you have to take care of it, always cleaning the area with alcohol or some other solution and also twisting the earring aroung in ur nose until it heals al the way up and for me, my parents and I thought I was mature enough but of course everyone is different. But my main concern that I forgot to think about is that most schools do not allow any kinds of rings except earrings for girls so they will make you take it out so If you so decide to get 1 you better do it at the very beginning of the summer so about time school starts your nose hole will be open enough where u can take the ring in and out without it being painful to re- enter the ring and risk it closing all the way back up. Its a lot of hassel for just a little fashion statement. I would wait I eventually took mine out about a year later

i got my nose pierced two years ago (three in april)
i was 13.
there was no problem with the permission and such, i had my parent with me and they had to sign some consent forms.
as for the pain, if you have a cartilage piercing in your ears, that is what i usually compare it to. or just a hard pinch that lasts for about an hour.
the healing process takes about 16 weeks, and cleaning it simply rubbing the area with Dial Antibacterial Liquid Soap and applying Bactine with a Qtip or Cotton Swab.
Be sure you research a lot of local places. i called about 20 asking their age requirements, pricing, and i checked out my final pick before the piercing appointment. Be sure the place you choose is a clean environment that you trust.
by presenting all the information to your parents should make them feel more comfortable about it seeing how much effort you put into it.
hope this helps
any other questions feel free to send me an email!* ;]

I think it depends on the person. Some teens are more mature than others. Personally, I think 16 or 17 are good ages.
Make sure you let them know it's just a stud, lol. When you say you want your nose pierced, they might think of a big nose ring. Tell them it's a cute, feminine piercing, a tiny little stud. Also, you should pay for it. If you offer to pay for stuff, parents are usually more willing to let you get something.

It's not what people "think" is the appropriate age, the fact is most piercing places won't allow kids under a certain age to get certain piercings EVEN WITH a parent present/consent. So if you are actually doing research on this, make sure you are looking for that as well.

hey i'd propose destroy all people, its like GTA, yet slightly extra age suited. The curse phrases are weaker, you could journey a saucer, disguse your self as a human and walk around the three-D panorama, or you could blow up each little thing on your course. there is definitely a storyline this is had to get entry to distinctive maps, yet fail or pass a venture and you'd be off the "employ" and do as you please. yet another activity which you would be able to room the three-D panorama is the Simpsons hit and run that does contain hijacking autos, storyline, yet same rules as destroy all people. the two one in each of those video games are T rated (13+) btw and are low fee. i offered a destroy all people for 17$. while in comparison with GTA, the cursing isnt as undesirable, there isnt lots gore, and much less severe... YOUKNOWWHAT matters. those video games arent precisely for little ones nonetheless. desire This helps :) ~Kaiser

I had one done when I was 17 and let me tell you, it hurt LIKE HELL! I was fine, until that needle went through the inside membrane layer of my nose, THAT WAS HORRIBLE. My hair had to have stood straight up! Mine never healed either, stayed red, no matter what I did to help it, always tender and painful. I took the stud out and left it go shut, and that part right there was the smartest thing I could have done! I don't reccomend it at any age.

17 or 18 is about the right age to where it doesn't look tacky. Your parents are very nice if they even consider letting you get your nose pierced!!
I had a couple of friends get theirs pierced a few years ago along with a couple of other piercings and they said that the nose hurt the worst. So, good luck!

My friends got their noses pierced when they were in 7th grade (12 or 13) and this other girl got it when she was 13 too. Just so you know, if you play sports like soccer or volley ball, it really sucks if you get hit in the nose with the ball!
