Ear problem...?

My husbands wiped out pretty bad @ the lake a couple of months ago and his ear has been hurting pretty bad since then. He says that it sounds like there is water in it but he cleans it out several times a day and it never changes. The other day he was cleaning it out and a little bit of blood was on the q-tip.
Does anyone know what is wrong with him and what he should do about it?

It sounds like his ear is infected. Lake water has all kinds of bacteria in it. He's going to have to see a doctor.
