Well, staying fit, and eating right is DEFINATELY the way to prolong your life! Nothing is garenteed though. There is the bus thing, everyone says that...
But there are things that you cannot control( I feel you can control being hit by a bus! Just look both ways!), like an anyurism. You can reduce your chances of cancer by diet and regular care, but it is mostly genetic. The strides the medical profession is taking are phenomenal these days, what if you Dr is not so sufficiant? Like with my Mother? She died of liver cancer, her Dr told her it was indegestion. She had a tumor in her colon that spread to her liver. When they found it, it was too late. YOU have to play an active role in your treatment! No matter how well you take care of yourself, MAKE them do tests!
I hope that you live to 150, if that is what you REALLY want! I, personally, don't want to see what this world is like when I am 150!
I don't mean to be a downer, but you'll never make 150 trusting your doctors!!!

I feel like I am virtually immortal; I will live almost forever. Am I just crazy?<< Yes- all living things age and eventually die
How reasonable is my conviction?<< fairly reasonable logic for living a longer life but still all life has to come to an end someday.
of course there are still wild variables that you have not taken in to consideration. some people live healthy lifestyles and still die from weird things like getting hit by a bus.

As a short life has downfalls, so does living in this physical form forever. You question reminded me of an episode of the Twilight Zone. This man sold his soul to the devil in order to live pretty much forever, or until such a point that he wanted the immortality taken away. That wish was granted and he was doing to much to test it, falling off of building, being run over by a car, etc. He ends up killing someone because he wanted to go through the greatest test to amaze everyone, being executed and not dying. He goes to prison and, despite how hard he tried to be sentenced to death, his sentence was life in prison without parol. Shortly after this he called off the immortality and died. Remember that movie Wishmaster? Be careful what you wish for.

Er...! This is something of a difference between 'forever' and 150-160 years of age.
I doubt that your wish will be granted, but of course, you are perfectly welcome to try it.
If you lived for 150 years, which may well come about in your lifetime, what kinds of things do you imagine you'll be doing at say, the age of 140?
Life's structures will no doubt change and you could well imagine to have to live and 'work' for 140 years in order to HAVE TO PAY off your £3,000.000 mortgage.
A few words of advice: You have to avoid getting sick or contracting any kind or illness at all. The road downhill from there can be very easy and very, very, fast.
As I said, you're welcome to try ~ and Good Luck.
Sash.

You are just young. When I was 18 I thought I'd live forever too- then I had a few scary car accidents and realized how fragile life is. But, there is no harm in wishful thinking if you are taking precautions towards your health I guess.

Well...you're only 20, it's pretty normal to feel rather invincible at that age still. Mostly due to the current developmental state of the mind, supposedly it's not really done developing until mid 20s.

in 50 or so years, the genome project and stem cells research will be widely accepted and used thus ensureing an immortal life. Or what you could do is grab the philosopher's stone. (its red and shiny)
