Today the whole school was taking the PSAT, and I went to the room I was assigned to go to. While I was taking the test I had my hood on and he whacked it off my head, and somewhat hit my head while doing so. I was pretty pissed off, but I didn't really do anything. Then he came back around and skimmed my head again, and in doing so he somewhat hit my head again. Then I said, "What the hell", and he said, "Want to start something?" I really didn't expect this from a teacher.

I don't think I would go to the principal/headmaster and tell him about this. That would just cause things to get much worse, and this is a teacher that alot of students like. So it would just make me look really bad. The problem is there is nothing I can do.

Also how was I provoking him, he didn't warn me about the hood at all. I didn't think he would just whack it off my head like that.

basically spending greater funds, particularly of paying for high quality, is what have been given us in this occasion. greater funds won't remedy something, if the equipment would not reward excellence. undesirable Public faculties will in no way circulate away in this u . s . a ., via fact there'll consistently be some people who do no longer care whether their infants get an above straightforward training, or basically an training. yet no longer all public faculties are undesirable. There are some communities with extremely good public faculties. And the loose industry is already working. There are parochial faculties, shape faculties, private faculties, voucher courses... examine your community public college districts. you will possibly be shocked on the customary. And if the customary is low, pray for an area voucher software.

Ew. PSAT's. Same here.
Hmm, well that's kinda messed up, as I see it you have two choices.
1. Ignore it. Move on, and not bother with it.
Or
2. Tell your principle. Yeahh yeahh, I know crappy advice, but sometimes you gotta do it. An easier way to do that is to complain about it as much as you can to different people (so you don't get annoying, complaining to the same people), untill it finally reaches the principle. This way your friends realize the teacher isn't that cool and will be lessed liked, and you really wont be a snitch.
Good Luck

Don't listen to any of these people. Don't be a whimp. Smile at the teacher tomorrow like nothing happened. It will make you feel good not to join in the pettiness. Go on with life. Don't waste one moment of your time or one ounce of emotional energy being a victim. This will put you in a downword spiral that will characterize your personna for the rest fo your life. Get over it and move on.
For the rest of you and your great advice....

There are certain rules you are supposed to obey when taking the PSATs and wearing hooded clothing is against these rules. This should be known by the students prior to taking them. He could have very well dismissed you from taking them if you would have preferred that instead of what he did.

Look you are right. This teacher took advantage of his position of power and took out his emotional and anger problems on you.
He enforced the rules with hard judgment and totally disregarded the purpose and intent of the rule. People like him are dangerous because rules are more important to them than people.
He also is dangerous because he takes out his pent up aggression on those who are under his authority. In this sense he is a true bully.
You may have become a target for him. This may happen again.
You can either go to war (and based upon your post you are not emotionally strong enough to win the battles you would need to yet). It will come in time, but it will take maturity beyond your years to win a war like that.
Your best bet is to use the George Washington method of the Revolutionary War. When faced with a using a weaker army to defeat a stronger one, he decided, "It is better to fight & run away, and live to fight another day".
Break ranks. Do not stand in opposition to him. Give him enough rope, and somewhere down the line he will hang himself.
May God grant you patience to win the battle with your inner-self. Not everything is as it seems to you. He is not your true problem.

Well, If you were never told to remove your hood, never gave any attitude or otherwise acted inappropriately, I would guess he has issues outside the classroom. Maybe his wife is cheating on him, maybe he gets made fun of in the teachers lounge, who knows. If, however, you were asked to remove your hood, gave attitude, talked back or just acted like a punk in general you had it coming. I have a feeling it's a bit of both.

Try being on best behavior for a few days, but if it seems he is singling you out, go to the top. You said it is a private school, and believe me, they don't like trouble that would even hint at assault. You are right to try to let it go, because sometimes it can get worse. I am older, you are younger: pick your battles carefully, then fight them fearlessly.
Edit: wil2rus made some excellent points.

According to the law, that's simple assault. He should of just asked you to remove your hood. Teachers shouldn't be allowed to get away with anything a student wouldn't be allowed to get away with. Turn him in and try to file charges. They won't let you, but try anyway. Stand up for yourself. I wish I would of. Sorry for the bitter attitude, but I don't much care for school teachers. What a weirdo. You may want to mention this to a school counselor. I know it'd be a lot more fun to go ahead and start something, but you could both get in huge trouble for it. Really, the school system makes a big deal out of crap like that. They need to remove the sticks from their a$$es. Aren't we all supposed to be equals?!

Some teachers are like that they are used to the old ways and are a little too offended if they you even try to slightly contradict them or tell them they are wrong. what you do is do really well in thier class and show them that they can't beat you and then they will have a little more respect for you and your opinion
