Yeah there is, a cake with low or better, without transfat, is now generously found in the cake shops. These cakes are even fat and sugar free but their goodness is still there.

Angel food cake is very low in calories (check on the internet to make sure you are using a low-cal recipe). Top it with fresh sliced strawberries mixed with a little Splenda.

Probably not, but there are cakes that are 'healthier' than others. Try the Weightwatchers website, and look at the desserts. You can make them easily enough and let your friend know what you did; I'm sure she'll appreciate your thoughtfulness and support.

she can have a cake if it is only once in a while. If you dont want to make a sweet cake, make a savoury one, why not make a cake out of wholemeal bread and put chocolate spread on top?

No, it's called a Pineapple upside down cake, because you line the pan with brown sugar and pineapple, then put in the batter. When you turn it out of the pan, everything will be on top. Hence, the name.

carrot cake! haha, just kidding... those are probably horrible for you....
what about making a strawberry shortcake? You use angel food cake, strawberries, strawberry glaze, low fat whipped cream, and low fat vanilla pudding.
