There is virtually NO justification in Hebrew text for translating the disputed portion of this verse as " they will certainly look One whom they have pierced through " . It goes " they will look on Me who they have pierced. "They look on Me " has the support of "the large majority of reliable Hebrew manuscripts, the LXX ( Septuagint ), the Old Latin ( version ), the Syriac Peshitta, the Aramaic Targums, and the Greek version of Aquilla, Symmachus, and Theodotin " ( Reymond, p 80 )
So, the MAJORITY of the best manuscripts contradict the Watchtower rendering of Zechariah 12:10

Eventually all people will realize that Jesus, the man who was pierced and killed is indeed the Messiah. There will be an awakening, with sorrow for sin and genuine revival. The crucified Messiah will be clearly revealed (Phil 2:10 - Rev 5:13).

These passages should help you: Matt. 5:17; Luke 24:25; 44; John 5:39; Acts 10:43; 26:22b-23; 28:23b.
A Christ-centered, Cross-focused view of the Bible is necessary to understanding both Old & New Testaments. St. Augustine helps us to remember, "The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed, and the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed."

This verse in Zechariah was concerning prophecy of the Coming messiah. Just as in Zechariah jesus was peirced, he was peirced and hung from a wooden cross. amazingly enough this prediciton was made thousands of years before the roman form of execution called crucifixion. but More profound of question is why was jesus peirced?
Let me explain by asking you a few questions......
Have you ever lied, stolen, looked with lust or used Gods name in vain? if we have done those things then by our own admission were lying theiving blasphemous adulturers at heart. we have offended a Holy God through our sin, and because God is Holy he promises on the day of judgement that those who have broken his law will recive Justice (hell). The God news is Jesus Christ death on the cross payed the penalty for our sin. we broke Gods law but Jesus Paid the eternal fine. Thats why jesus was peirced, The Bible says Gods wrath fell upon jesus instead of you and I. We can be Forgiven and granted everlasting life, But we must repent (turn from sin) and trust in jesus as you would trust a lifejacket on a sinking ship. you wouldnt Just belive in the lifejacket you would hold tight to it with your life and thats what you must do with jesus. Then ofcourse, get a Bible and read and obey tis words and it will lead you through the rest of your life.
God Bless

In that day Jehovah will be a defense around the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and the one that is stumbling among them must become in that day like David, and the house of David like God, like Jehovah’s angel before them. 9 And it must occur in that day [that] I shall seek to annihilate all the nations that are coming against Jerusalem.
10 “And I will pour out upon the house of David and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of favor and entreaties, and they will certainly look to the One whom they pierced through, and they will certainly wail over Him as in the wailing over an only [son]; and there will be a bitter lamentation over him as when there is bitter lamentation over the firstborn [son].
The angel of Lord almighty ,Jesus.

The last olive in the barrel? maybe it was a desert fox that got loose in someones home? A rabied cammel? who know's? I doubt anyone is still around from 2000 years ago. who realy cares. I know Jesus was speared in the side, but he was already dead. they did it to ensure that he was. That is a fact.

Zec 12:10 And I will pour on the house of David, and on those living in Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of prayers. And they shall look on Me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they shall be bitter over Him, like the bitterness over the first-born.
Christ. I believe this speaking of His second coming and the Jewish remnant who see Him.

Jesus the Son was literally pierced, while Jehovah the Father was figuratively pained by seeing His Son's suffering.
Trinitarians who point to Zechariah 12:10 do their cause a disservice when they pretend that nontrinitarians (or unitarians with a lower-case "u") misunderstand the original Hebrew there. Bible students and scholars have long acknowledged that "They shall look upon me whom they have pierced" is the LITERAL translation of this verse.
But this Scripture is *NOT* to be taken literally.
Clearly, any parent would feel the pain of his child. When Christ Jesus the Son was cut, of course his Father Jehovah felt that pain. Trinitarians and non-Trinitarian Christians alike should well-understand this point, and note that "the Father" remained in heaven when "the Son" was impaled on earth.
...(Luke 23:46) Jesus called with a loud voice and said: "Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit." When he had said this, he expired.
Interestingly, bible prophesy shows that *EVEN MARY* the human mother of Jesus would feel this stabbing pain when the human Jesus was impaled:
...(Luke 2:34-35) [The prophet] Simeon blessed them [Joseph, Mary, and the infant Jesus], but said to Mary its mother: "Look! This one is laid for the fall and the rising again of many in Israel and for a sign to be talked against (yes, a long sword will be run through the soul of you yourself)
Rotherham, American Standard Version, Moffatt, An American Translation and Revised Standard Version all use "him" instead of "me" either in the main body of the text itself or in a footnote as an honest alternative. Whether the pierced one is Jehovah or Jesus, there is a more logical translation.
...(Zechariah 12:10) And I [Jehovah] will pour out upon the house of David and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of favor and entreaties, and they will certainly look to the One whom they pierced
Sadly trinitarians repeatedly misapply scripture while they insist upon worldly philosophy, Greek paganisms, and quotes from other Babylon-loving Trinitarians to support their unscriptural ideas. By contrast, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the Scriptures alone quite plainly demonstrate that Jesus and the Almighty are separate distinct persons, and the Almighty created Jesus as His firstborn son.
(Colossians 1:15) the firstborn of all creation
(Mark 10:18) Jesus said to him: 'Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God.
(Revelation 3:14) the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God
(Philippians 2:5-6) Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God
(John 8:42) Neither have I come of my own initiative at all, but that One sent me forth
(John 12:49) I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak
(John 14:28) I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am
(1 Corinthians 15:28) But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him
(Matthew 20:23) this sitting down at my right hand and at my left is not mine to give, but it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father
(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; ...in turn the head of the Christ is God
(John 20:17) I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.
(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah
(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) There is no God but one. For even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him
Thanks again for an opportunity to share what the bible actually says about the distinct persons of Jesus Christ the Son and Jehovah God the Father!

"They shall look upon "ME" - whom they have pierced..."
It was the Lord Himself, come down from heaven, whom they have pierced.
"Look, he is coming with the clouds,
and every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him;
and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.
"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." "
