For example the idea of a purgatory?
Or how about a Perpetual Virgin Mary?
Or how about the idea of a Church that is not a local assembly but an organization where a Man takes the place of Jesus Christ as the Head of the Church?

Name one. Oh, I'm sorry you think you have, but you haven't:

Purgatory:
Lk 12:58-59; 1 Cor 3:15; Mt 5:25-26 ... temporary agony.
Heb 12:6-11 ... God’s painful discipline.
Mt 12:32 ... no forgiveness ... nor in the age to come.
Pet 4:6 ... preached to the dead.
Rev 21:27 ... nothing unclean shall enter heaven.
Heb 12:23 ... souls in heaven are perfect.
Col 1:24; 2 Sam 12:13-14 ... “extra” suffering.
2 Mac 12:43-46 ... sacrifice for the dead.
2 Tim 1:15-18 ... prayer for Onesiphorus for “that Day.”
1 Jn 5:14-17 ... mortal/venial sins

Perpetual Virginity of Mary:
Well, it isn't a "policy", it is a statment of faith.

Man taking the place of Christ:
Ohhh, you think the Pope is Jesus on Earth - well, you are wrong. The Holy Father is just a man, guided by the Holy Spirit to lead the One True Church in matters of Faith and Morals. Don't you wish you could say that your pastor was guided by the Holy Spirit?

The Catholic Church assembled and codified the Bible long till now Protestantism replaced into even a twinkle in the attention of Martin Luther. the only 'contribution' Protestants made to the Bible centuries after the certainty replaced into to hack out the climate that did no longer trust their heretical doctrines. a extra effective question may be, "Why do Protestants think of that they have got the splendid to tell Catholics what the Bible says?"

Pastor Billy says: we are not discussing what is in the bible and what isn't, we are discussing in your question which tradition of biblical interpretation is more authentic.

When you question such doctrines as purgatory you are looking at it with a bias of your faith traditions interpretation but is this interpretation the one agreed to by the early Christian Church?

When you deny the perpetual virginity of Mary you not only argue against Catholicism but also Eastern Orthodoxy, the Coptic Church, the ancient Armenian Church and also all first Protestants especially Martin Luther, Jean Calvin, Zwingli and even John Welsey and the Methodist movement later on. All these Protesting fathers taught Mary was a perpetual virgin why is it that non-Catholics today have decided to reject what was always professed as true?

Regarding the local assembly how do you think they were originally established and was it okay for each one to disagree over doctrine?
The early evangelist bishops of the Church established these communities like St. Paul and chose out of from among them local leadership authorities, elders (presbutos) to maintain the unity of faith by unity of doctrine. Paul in his epistles (which form much of the New Testament) is writing letters of correction so remote Christian communities would stay truth to the teaching authority of Church, the magisterium. He writes pastoral letters to Timothy least he forget from whom he received gospel whether it be "by epistle or word(oral)" Paul is of course encouraging a apostolic sucession, a unity of faith across geography and time.
Your understanding of the early Church is extremely poor and therefore your understanding of Catholicism is extremely poor. Jesus is the High Priest of his Church that being Catholic. The bishops are merely men but so were the men who wrote the gospel in biblical text. Do you reject the authorship of the bible? The magisterium of the Christian Church is a Godly authority and therefore that is why Catholics accept it and all of God's plan

Purgatory is biblical. The pope does not take the place of Jesus. Where you got this from I don't know but you're mistaken. I don't know much about the perpetual virginity of Mary so I'll stop here.

If you want to know where these doctrines come from, go here: www.catholic.com.

On your last point I think you are referring to priests and the pope, or maybe just the pope. I think they are trying to imitate the church order in the Old Testament. Catholics do have a few off beliefs. They are sincere, and they do believe that Jesus is the Christ and that He died for our sins. Trying to find a church I've investigated many, quite a few are off, yet all believe in Christ. So the important thing is that we all stand under the same roof of Christianity.

Catholic Doctrine does not contradict the Bible, but they only contradict YOUR INTERPRETATION of the Bible.

With all due respect, you also display an ignorance of Mary, and who the Bishop of Rome is.

Look at the lame answer by the Catholic and then read those Scripture verses yourself.Plus, you see how they deny what their "church" teaches about the pope?Roman Catholic dogma and many doctrines teach things that would make most Catholics shudder in disbelief if they read them.Problem is that they rarely read Scripture, and invariably place the rudiments of men and vain traditions and papal edicts above God's Word. Not as some say"equal to",but paramount to Holy Writ.

Either with bad attempts at citing passages[they don't think we'll read them or something] in the douay,or rationalizing bad doctrine with all sorts of laughable diatribes. Most of them simply do not have a clue as to what that false religion espouses in their catechisms and doctrine. The weakest debates I've ever had with nonchristians are always the ones with catholics.

Catholicism is one of the largest false religions in the world and it has led and is leading many people to destruction. I agree with all that Suzi says.
AMDG is quoting from a book that is not even a part of the bible except the catholic bible and how they blaspheme God by calling the pope The Holy Father. That name is ascribed to God by Christ in Jesus's high priestly prayer in John 17:11; And I am no more in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to Thee. Holy Father, keep them in Thy name, the name which Thou hast given Me, that they may be one, even as We are.
AMDG, the pope is not The Holy Father, God the Father is and the pope is going to have to answer to the real Holy Father for why he permitted himself to called this. Catholicism is not Christianity, it is a counterfeit of Christianity. and the catholics are dead in trespasses and sins. The pope is lost and everyone who follows him is also.
