Sounds normal to me. Little kids have to go when they have to go, ESPECIALLY girls.

Expecting anyone to hold it for 30 minutes is unreasonable. Your daughter's bladder is just fine. If she is wetting her pants, and she has demonstrated to you that she can hold it for 30 minutes, then she is waiting till the absolute last second before going to the bathroom. My daughter went through a bout of this...just too busy doing other things to stop and go to the bathroom. I nipped it in the bud by taking those distractions away from her until she wanted to act responsible and take care of her body like she is supposed to.

Maybe she is not recognizing when exactly she is feeling the urge. My daughter used to say she had to go then a minute later it was a dire emergency. I suspect that either she wasn't telling me when she first felt the sensation or she didn't notice it when it began. She needs learn to go at regular intervals even if she thinks she doesn't have to just try especially within 15 minutes of drinking. It is not safe to encourage her to hold it as it may cause bladder or urinary tract infections.

Get one of those portable pee holder things for now, the ones lorry drivers use.

It sounds normal, 30 mins is quite a long time to hold it.

If you have taken her to a doctor, I would say she is perfectly fine. Be sensitive with her--if she did it at that age, in front of friends, she really can't help it. Her bladder might not have "stretched" yet.

Hope this helps!

People are differant, sounds to me like if she feels the urge then she should go, and no one should make her wait.. not to mention if she is forced to like my mother in-law was, it will only get worse with age...
