I think this is a legitimate question since he claimed to be such a solid christian while he was running for office.

Bush calls himself a Christian to get votes like all Republicans are doing, and many Democrats. He signed the death warrants for over 150 people in Texas, supports torture and war, proceeds with greed as a "family value", lies about the reasons for going to war...don't you think Jesus would approve? The Evangelical Christians do so they support Bush. After all, why listen to Christ's teachings when Bush will give Christian schools a tax break?

Do you really need to ask this Q? Jesus knows we all make mistakes and he loves Bush. He's a son of ***** but it's not his fault, he's learning.
Now if you want a regular answer then I'd tell you Jesus is tossing and turning in his grave by Bush's behaviour.

It's hard to speak FOR Jesus, even though it seems many Christians feel they can.
As for ordinary citizens, any rational, compassionate person should be appalled by the Bush-Cheney foreign policy (although the term "policy" is too polite).

I believe He would not be appalled . Without Bush realizing it I think that Bush is helping the prophesy in Matthew 24:14 come to past.

His and the Republican's religious professions were political tactics to sucker believers into voting for them. Bush is clearly not a believer in anything but himself.

i don't think jesus would approve of bush doing what he has done in his name, because jesus was about peace not destroying others for your own personal benefit

First of all, ask yourself if you are doing what He told you to do:
"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."
I Timothy 1:1-2

"Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men. Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God. Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king."
I Peter 2:13-17

Maybe, maybe not.

We really know nothing about Jesus, including whether he really existed. All of the of the stuff written about Jesus was written decades after he died. Paul was the earliest writer, but he hardly said anything about Jesus or his teachings. The Gospels came decades after that and included details that could not have been known in that time.
