I thought 70,000 miles on a 97 was too good to be true till I saw that engine. Anyone think that could have been tampered with?

its very possible ,there are people who specialize in running the miles back on them,id run a car fax on it and see what it turned up,that was pretty high for that car, because i was offered one the other day and it was a 2000 model, for 2500,those cars just don't sell really good sometimes, have a car fax run on it and see if anything comes back on it,you may have got one that someone run the miles back on,anythings possible now days, and nothing is impossible to do,remember that, good luck with it,i hope it turns out to be original miles and is a good car.

Kind of, but new tires depending on what you get will run from 400-800, paint for a good job is about 3-4,000

Despite the transmission issues (i wonder if they have the 42le trans) not bad cars. Engines run forever. I had one till 225000 miles.

NOT BAD AT ALL BUT THE ONLY THING THAT WOULD CONCERN ME WILL BE THE TRANSMISSION.

CALL THE MANUFACTURER BECAUSE THERE SHOWS TO BE THREE RECALLS AND ONE IS FROM THE (NHTSA).

THEY MAY NOT ALL BE FOR YOUR CAR BUT YOU SHOULD CALL ANYWAY.
