Democrats with a lot of Libertarians, though I have met a few Republican atheists. This has been especially true ever since the Republicans became married to the Christian Coalition.

I would think they are Democrats or one of the smaller parties. I am sure there is at least one Republican that is also an atheist.
I'm not sure about the majority of Christians. Currently there are more registered Dems than Republicans, and this is a mostly Christian country so there are LOTS of Christian Democrats.

i do not comprehend how actual it really is, yet i can see how that is obtainable. as a rule, I have a tendency to verify so a lot more suitable liberal atheists than the different political leaning, yet then "liberal" has a tendency to be a relative time period. On a more suitable ordinary factor, libertarian is defined as socially liberal and fiscally conservative. Socially liberal is noticeably properly anticipated because they are in a repressed (probably oppressed searching on the position contained in the international you look) minority first of all. Fiscally, although, that is style of of a wash because economics is this style of free technological expertise first of all, so there's a real looking position to take in basic terms about everywhere. i might want to anticipate the conventional to fall contained in the fiscally average variety, it really is "liberal" relative to the dictionary libertarian, yet no longer everywhere as liberal because the bleeding heart "statists" that libertarians accuse all their dissenters of being. regardless of the truth that to be straightforward that makes us neither republican, democrat, nor libertarian. None of those activities in good structure that mould. all of them are represented by technique of those who're extremely some distance to the right, with very few remoted examples of human beings in authorities who're extremely liberal on something.

I don't believe in political parties.
Seriously though, Atheism, at least in my point of view, is logic driven. Therefore, I think most atheists would vote for the better choice, regardless of political affiliation.
However, It seems to me, the opinions of atheists are most often shared with Democrats.

I vote Democrat as the lesser of two evils. I will never support the religious right.
I am a Libertarian. I think the republican party has abandoned its fiscally conservative stance and belief in limited government intervention into people's private lives. The republican party is too influenced by religion: They're wasting tax dollars on fighting abortion and gay marriage -- when they should be focusing more on international policy.

Do you? With 80% of the population being Christian, I'm pretty sure they sit on both sides of the fence.
Keep in mind that democrat does not equal liberal. Conservative isn't equal to republican.
