if u want something with him again, then you shouldn't care about things being awkward.
if u still have doubts about him (u didn't mention why you had broken up), then I just would ignore him . trust your instinct. From personal experience, getting back together with exs is just not the smartest thing. But that's just my opinion.

Just talk about anything. Like, how you've been, what you did over the summer, how you like school so far. It's only awkward if you make it awkward, so don't think awkward thoughts. It'll make you feel a lot better. Also, if you haven't talked much and THINK it's going to be awkward, don't. That'll just damn the chances of it not being awkward. so i say talk to him, explain how you feel, and see how it goes from there. not much can go wrong, if you think about it. (:
So, best of luck to you.
(:

there will be awkwardness for a while. thats something you cant avoid. but the more you talk to him, the more comfortable you'll feel, and sooner or later you'll be having a normal conversation with him. take things slow, and wait for a bit to see if you still REALLY like him for sure. if you're positive that you do, then go for it.

I don't think 'like' is a good reason to get back together. The question is do you like him and do you love him. Remind yourself why you separated to begin with & ask yourself if either one of you has truly changed.
Just ask him if he is willing to be friends or if you can at least chitchat with him w/o feeling awkward. He'll let you know.

well do you think it's a good idea ot get involved again? if so then it's just going to be awkward for a while - maybe ask him if it's as awkward for him as it is for you and that will make it easier after you talk about it a bit!!

it will be awkward until you both get past that. then take it one step at a time, see how he feels, what he is willing to do, ect. Make a joke, take the steam off things, go casual, not hot and heavy dates. If it is meant to be, it will flow back to where you were, albeit with changes on both your parts.
