From what I understand it is Egyptian...which predates Judaism correct?

It was first done to emulate the penis of the baboon which was held as sacred by some tribes in East Africa. The practice was later copied by the Egyptians and then the Hebrews.

In the bible God commanded the Jews to have it done as an outward sign of their covenant with Him. In the new testament it says that we no longer need to have it done as God accepts both the circumcised and uncircumcised.

The Book of Jeremiah, written in the sixth century BC, lists the Egyptians, Jews, Edomites, Ammonites, and Moabites as circumcising cultures. Herodotus, writing in the fifth century BC, would add the Colchians, Ethiopians, Phoenicians, and Syrians to that list.

In line with islamic teaching since Adam up to Muhammad pbuh were circumcised.Adam was circumcised by Allah the only one God.Abraham prophet was circumcised too.Abraham was the ancestor of Jewish religion followers,Christianity followers and Islam followers.All prophets after him were his descendants.Abraham called as the father of prophets.Adam and Abraham prophet had a religion called taukhid or monotheism religion.Circumcision makes a man healthy because his penis can be easily cleaned..

It is with ABRAHAM,,,,but he didn't HAVE a religion! It IS written that he BELIEVED God, and it was ACCOUNTED to him for rightousness. Also read Hebrews 11:8,,,,because sometimes it helps you to do some reaserch on your own,,,.See, any religion is NOT mentioned concerning him,,,,

I'm not exactly sure, but it probably is one of those two.
The "Jewish" practiced circumcision before they were officially the Jewish people.
(Abraham was the first of God's people to be cicumcised, and he was the father of Isaac, who was the father of Jacob, who was the father of Judah, which is where the Jewish people get their name)
