There's no way of speeding it up and all you have to do is wait, some people wait for 15 months

This is what bites.. You are doing all the right things to become a Citizen Legally, and you are being tossed on the back burner which is wrong. Then we have millions who just plop on over and well, 'W' wants to give the a Free Pass this is dead wrong as well.

Maybe you could check with the Police department where you submitted to perform the Background check to see how far along they are.

10 months is not a long time....I have friends that waited 4 years to finally get their citizenship. Things are even slower now that Homeland Security has to clear everyone.

Immigration had many things to verify with so many applicants and it is the reason why it is taking too long for the processing of your documents.

10 months is not long. They have too many applicants right now. You will hear in 18-24 months.

Each time you call, get their name and their number. You also should contact your state senator to help you and get an attorney as well. The customer service people just say anything to satisfy you, once you get an attorney involved they automatically start being helpful.
