Have legal copy of MS Office. Something has changed the formatting and I am unable to get a normal format. What I get is arrows and other symbols. Need help asap. Thanks

Navigate to...


C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates.
(User name is "your name.")

Find the "Normal.dot" template. (This is the default template that opens when you start Word.)

Delete the file Normal.dot

Open Word and it will have created a new (default) Normal.dot file.

It's because you have the wrong settings. What it is doing is normal formatting. There are always two spaces [basically a page break] between paragraphing. Click on Format ► Paragraph ► Line and Page breaks ► Tick "Keep lines together" ► OK This will prevent a normal page break being inserted

change the font to TIMES NEW ROMAN

Remove it from (add/remove programs) and reinstall.
