There have been many life defining/changing moments in my walk with God..but possibly the most important has been ongoing in the sanctification process...I have learned that we are not only saved by Grace, but are utterly dependant on God's grace and mercy,as we "attempt" to work out our own salvation, with fear and trembling.."Beware that you stand, lest you fall"...God's mercy and grace,is everything...
God bless you,sister ((((Sandy))))

The day I received the Holy Spirit. I had always tried to read the Bible but felt that it was boring and I couldn't understand it but one day, out at an oilwell at 9 am or so in Enfield, Illinois, I had a paraphrased Gospel of John and I prayed to be able to understand it. I was in a Ford Limited, the oilwell was about 30 yards to my right, there was snow on the ground but the roads were clear, the sun was out, it was quite toasty, actually, in the vehicle and I didn't know what happened at first, but my eyes were opened and I could make sense of it and I received spiritual understanding and discernment and couldn't put the Bible down for 8 years. I have 6 translations now and still only read the Bible if I have time to read at all (I do read newspapers and on the internet, though). I prayed to receive the Holy Spirit and then received it through faith.

Having been saved from the physical death, on a few occasions is only the tip of the berg, so to speak A new form of surgery is a story in itself. Actually when I look back, there are too many events to say one was most meaningful.
But i learned that if a no-good, down right good-for-nothin' krum-bum, scoundral, flake as I was could be saved and guided, then the saying, "all things are possible with God" is truth. :) OK, maybe this is a little exagerated, the part about the flake, but the rest for sure is.......hmmm.......

I want to be honest here so dont take this as a deliberate insult...But I grew up respecting all religions and all people especially Christianity. I never had anything against it or its followers..Until I got a little bit older and the ONLY times I was asked to question my beliefs was by Christian people. As a young already insecure kid, how do you think that feels? And it wasnt just by ONE christian person..Im talking half of the ones I met along the way who found out Im not Christian...the worst was when my best friend's extremely religious Christian mother started degrading my beliefs and I was like 15 or something. On top of that, Christians are the only people I see handing out flyers and pamphlets and coming to peoples homes and traveling to poverty stricken countries to convert people for money. So obviously I have a little bit of a intolerance towards Christianity. I think it had humble beginnings but Jesus himself would be ashamed of most of todays Christians...

Oh wow. Your question unlocks so much memory in my heart. I actually have a long journal about that.
Hard to decide which one. All of them are great.
One that comes to mind is when I realized I can love as God does..... Learning God's love is one of the greatest thing that happened to me. I am still learning in each day, but the more I learn, the more I realize that I can be a blessing to others no matter what circumstance I am in.

I come from a disfunctional family and spent most of my teen life in bitterness, loneliness and withdrawl from everyone around me. People always let me down and I trusted no one.. When I came to Christ at the age of 17, I really expected God to punish me for my behavior but instead He showered me with His mercy and love and I know today that if I've ever changed to this extent its only because He was patient with me and because He loved me more than anyone in this world.
After my baptism I began seeing spiritual dreams and visions and this is how we built our relationship.. He would speak to me about everything!!! His plans for different nations, sometimes He would wake me from my sleep to pray for someone I dont even know! I just loved being involved with him this way.... because no one has ever treated me with such love and regard. As years past by,,, I became very close to Him and I loved it! :))
Jesus took the place of my physical Father and Mother and Best Friend and He still remains faithful to me, not only as My God but He is the only person in this world I trust and will ever trust as a parent and friend. Today I am 27 years old and married (He gave me a lovely husband) but I still say that the best marriage a woman could ever have is a relationship with Jesus..... no one can make you feel so secure....even my husband agrees.... :))!!

Leading others to the Lord and watching them grow , and become leaders in church. Also living through an accident that should have killed me , one that took 10 yrs to completly heal, and beating the odds of ever going back to work . The Lord works in strange ways

when i found out how the RUACH HAKODESH could
work in my life. once i found out this i made great strides
in my own walk. now i can " walk the walk, talk the talk".
it helped/helps me not to be a hypocrite. though there
are things i still need to overcome at least now i know
how to do it. i have learned how to stay away from hell's
addresses and how to discern them.
great question. i wish i could ask better one!

Finally realizing God's purpose for my life was the most meaningful expierence I could have ever have. I finally understood through reading "the purpose driven life." EVERYONE should read it... it was written for a purpose.
