Okay so i have this dilemma....I've totally fallen for my best guy friend and i don't know what to do because he is a year younger and like 4 in. shorter than me. I am going over to his house tomorrow and i really want to tell him i like him but i am afraid of what people will think and of losing him a a friend if he does not feel the same way. I know how to tell him i just don't know if i should. what do you think? should i tell him?

Yes, you should. It is not fair to either of you for the other to keep something bottled up inside. You never know what can happen unless you try. If it is a true friendship, then it will survive. If you honestly care what people will think of you, then leave it alone. There should not be any embarrassment involved in your telling those you care about your feelings.

The height and age thing shouldn't matter if it doesn't matter to you. In the realm of relationships, the least of the list of troubles is height and one year difference!

Your situation speaks of the age-old question: tis it better to have loved and lost than never have loved at all? Do you tell him and potentially discover a wonderful new aspect to your relationship with him? Or do you forever change the dynamic, only to ruin what you have now?

I know it sounds cliche, but only you can decide this.

Realistically, most love relationships don't last. Is this friendship worth losing for a potentially short love stint? OR do you think this is one of the rare ones that will stand the test of time/all of life's hardships?

In less cryptic terms, I would suggest testing the waters a little first. Watch and see if his feelings might be reciprocated. Does he like incidental touches (brushes of the hand, proximity, etc.)? Does he seek out being near you, getting your attn? Acting diffr. around you than other girls?

Note, this will only help you decide if the risk is minimal (that it isn't mutual). Then you can decide what to do next because, in the end, you will still have to decide if this change is worth sacrificing what you have now.

Well you can't care what anyone thinks.. his age, his height or anything like that. If any of those things really bother you then why risk a friendship.
If you are truly friends and you tell him and he doesn't like you there might be an awkward moment but it can pass and you guys will get over it.
If he does like you then.. awesome.. proceed from there.
The only time friendships, turned more than friends go wrong is when someone hurts the other or takes advantage of the other or if they start dating and stop (the dumping).
Just mentioning it is relatively risk free.. but what decisions you make from there can be risky.

Be like what would you say if I said i liked you. Or start talking about how HOT some guy is and see if he gets all jealous. If he does or he gets all quiet then you should tell him. Oh, and it doesn't matter what other people think. If you like eachother they won't care. Two years is pushing it, but if you act like you totally like him people will think thats cool. goodluck♥

Don't worry about falling for you best guy friend. I fell for my best girl friend and i told her how i felt and she felt the same way. Now were going out and i would have regreted not asking her. So my advice is go for it you never know.

Tell him!
If he doesn't like you for you, then move on. There are better people. And don't care what others think-go with your heart!

You should tell him, but if he isnt a true friend he will dumb you as a friend but if he is true he will understand even if he doesnt like you the same way.
