I think that the OT is needed but we need to consider what Jesus said also.
Mathew Chapter 5 The Fulfillment of the Law
17"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
But you also have to consider John 8;7
"If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone.
We need the OT to remember how the Earth was created and also the 10 commandments and profecy ect.

A current division in Christianity is 'what is the scriptural old testament. The unscriptural old testament is Genesis-Malachi; but the scriptural old testament is the law of Moses; referred to as the 'old testament' 2 Cor. 3:13-14 KJV. Further (2 parts), defining it as Genesis-Malachi (part 1)violates 2 Tim. 3:16-17. and Joshua 1, (part 2) apply the 2 or more witnesses principle, (Matt. 18:16,2 Cor.13:1) the witnesses including Joshua, David, Solomon, Nehemiah, Malachi, Jesus, and Paul.

2 Timothy 3:16 "all scripture is inspired of God and beneficial" "All things that were written aforetime were written for our in struction, that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope."
New testatment writers quote from the old extensively so they must have felt it important. Also, Daniels prophecys and Isaiah's prophecys are not fulfilled yet. so they are still pending.

No, it is still useful. It gives the historical context of Jesus. It shows that He is the Messiah in fulfillment of prophecy. It gives examples for us of how people were either faithful to God or unfaithful and the consequences for each. Would you really want to give up the book of Psalms for example? Or Genesis? There's lots of good stuff in the Old Testament.

Depends, are you seeking actual truth, or just a confirmation of what you already want to believe?
The Old Testament is relevant, especially the teachings of Isaiah and Ezekiel. Read it and find out.

The Old Testament is the primary source for a Christian's definition of a true relationship with God. There is dependence on God and praise, and the individual is challenged by God and must have faith. And the person is rewarded for his faith.

I rely on the Bible to find answers. Even though it was written thousands of years ago, its good news is timeless. Reading God's news always helps me to become a better person. I begin to see the world through God's eyes.

The old testament is before Jesus came to earth to save us of our sins. There is alot of theology in the old testament that you need to understand in order to understand the New testament.

Considering that it is quoted numerous times in the New Testament, it would be confusing to omit it.

There is some great stuff in the OT, but one must learn how to "read" the bible, or it will just be confusing. Never just toss it.
