Gilbert is totally right.

Confucianism in its purest form has not changed. As its precepts apply to modern day. it has of necessity changed.
The idea of Personal and Governmental morality is as it was, but as it relates to today's mores, it has changed.

As the movement has grown, there are many who argue that Confucianism is a religion, and some that argue the opposite. One of his greatest sayings, is very much like the Golden rule found the in Christian Bible. His saying goes" Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself."

He was indeed a great man. History is showing , however, that many of the works attributed to him, were not actually written by him.
