He is single again but I know he is out of my league. We have been friends for 6 years now but talk infrequently b/c he lives far away. But he called today and now I can't get him offf my mind again. Do I risk the friendship and tell him how I feel (thru email or something) or just keep wondering what if?

Keep him wondering for a while because if he's just out of a relationship, he might be hurt or wondering who he really likes, so just give it time and since he has just talked to you, he might have you on his mind. So give it time and things might go your way. If he's single for a long time, email him with a different email address and say that you're the friend of his friend and just letting him know that someone likes him and asks if he likes you back. Good Luck.

No, don't keep wondering. If he is really a friend, he will understand. Maybe you could ask if he is dating anyone. He isn't out of your league or he wouldn't be calling you. Maybe he is thinking the same thing. Jokingly, say something like "we are such good friends maybe we should think about dating" then laugh. See what he says back.

Its crucial that you guys hang out and get to know eachother before you just blurt out that you really like him. No one is out of your league, but the wrong move can really turn someone that would have been good for you away. Really try to get togeather to go out to eat somewere, or just hang out. Also consider the distance, if he lives really far away then it might make it hard to see eachother on a consistant basis.

send him a card (nothing too romantic, but not funny either) and tell him how great he is. then see how he reacts. or you could tell him you had a dream about him but then don't tell him what about. see how he reacts and try to flirt a little. you never know, he may feel the same about you, too. if you really want him to know, hint first, that way you won't be too embarrassed and he won't either if he doesn't play along. if you really feel bold, come out and tell him. maybe write him an email if you don't want to do it over the phone. good luck either way!

keep talking to him rather than say anything --- 2 reasons he will pick up on how you feel by the way you talk and your body language plus being long distance you need to find a way to get closer ----- and believe me there is NO such thing as being in or out of someone's "league" ---- love knows no boundaries --- best wishes

why don't you tell him how you feel. you don't dare. you don't win. go on bite the bullet. and ask him for a date. what do you mean out of your league. i cant see it threaten your friendship what so ever. if anything i think he will be flattered. i wish you well good luck.

you should call him and get a little bit closer to him before you drop the bomb

or you could always just go right out and say it!
