No we don't Bex and as I understand it from my contact with those in the spirit world, even though we are not earthly bodies, we can still enjoy doing the same things we did on earth if we want to. I am told that in the spirit world the colours are so much more vivid than they are on the earth plane and there is so much love too. There are many different levels in spirit world and depending on the lessons you have learned in your various incarnations then the higher you go up. My spirit guides are an example as they have lived many lives and are now helping me to help others. Those in spirit learn just as we learn.

It depends what/where people place meaning and importance. Just cuz you give something a meaning and an importance in YOUR life, does mean that others need to in the same way. Different people NEED different things in different doses. Heheheee would you want someone else judging your life based upon THEIRS and looking their nose down at you?!?

"Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death...so LIVE, LIVE, LIVE!!!" Aunite Mame, 1958 Roslind Russel movie.

Most people that crave material things are trying to PROVE something to themselves or others. Usually major low-self esteemers. Most cannot handle the connectedness that comes from 'real' relationships. Though just cuz they are that way one moment, doesn't mean that they will always be that way.

Ecclesiastes 11:8 However many years a man may live, let him enjoy them all. But let him remember the days of darkness for they will be many. Everything to come is meaningless.

I was reading a book yesterday that said people who are materialistic and place great value on their possessions eg car, house, how many holidays they manage to afford will not be the wealthiest at the end of their life it's the ones who find out the truth in this life and learn the lessons which will be the wealthiest in their next life sort of put it in perspective for me and I honestly thought Bex I'II be overflowing with wealth in the next life lol so I don't believe we do just the lessons and the knowledge we have learnt is all we need.

You seem a little depressed. Your are right - to many people "what you have is all that matters". You have to make the right choices in your life - meaning you have to select people who share your same values in life. Parents are so so lazy - children are brought up without a value system. Parents tend to buy whatever the child wants to keep them "happy" or "busy". My family has very little but in our small town everyone loves our family because we have "fun" "laugh" and are always sharing our discussion of the school day, work day, or sharing about other people we may have problems with. And when you are older and grey, your children will care for you and love you. You reap what you sew in life. Believe me - I have seen it a hundred times over, the children who grew up with so much, do not want to care for their parents as they age because they are SPOILED and do not want to be "tied" down and put in a role where they have to care for their parent.

Believe me, there will not be materialistic things in Heaven. Do you feel you are poorer than Jesus ever was. Just know this, it is much harder for a rich person to get to Heaven, Jesus loves you for your values not for the things you have.

It will be a spiritual life. Why would we have any need for any material things? No more than there will be giving and taking in marriage in heaven. Read the scripture below. We will be like the angels in heaven.

At first we will be spirit in heaven, Until we get our new bodies, that can withstand God's Glory. Yes almost everything you see here will also be in heaven, houses, clothes, and the desires of your heart.
Heaven is a very large planet like earth since the creator is the same:)

Good question. I've always thought of heaven as being filled with everything you love and value - so if you love and value material objects then yeah they'd be there - but I'm not really sure.

Heaven and hell are only experienced in the here and now. We are in one or the other at every moment. Yes, the material reality is definitely a part of both experiences.

Nope. There will be none in heaven. All we need will be provided to us by God. You know the old saying, you can't take it with you!!!
I'm very materialistic and wish I weren't but am. I make sure all my stuff is passed on. I give a lot of stuff away too. Great stuff that people enjoy to have. I'd rather they use it than it go to waste in my closet.
