The chicken was partially cooked when I put it in and I orginally set it for 10hours on low....but can I finish after 8hours do you think?

Yes, it should be perfect......the rule of thumb for the crockpot is 4 - 6 hours on high & 8 - 10 hours on low for 99% of what you can fix........

Oh yes u can finish it as long as it cooked on low and not high if it did might make the chicken a little tough, but if it was cooked on low it will be done in 8 hours tops... hope u like i t i do when i make it enjoy...

If the chicken is cooked through (which after 8 hours it should be) and it tastes good then your fine.

The meat should fall off the bones. I'd say after 8 hrs, it's cooked.

8hrs should be sufficient, but soups and stews are always tastier when cooked for longer.
