If more than one person has a dream with one major element of it being the same, what could it mean?

I know someone who had a dream where he was the same kind of thing I was in a different dream. I am very puzzled as to what this could mean.

To first answerer: I met the person one year after my dream. We never knew each other before then. Another problem is that he woke up during his dream. I didn't.

To be honest, to me it sounds like you are trying too hard to find a connection in this instance.... Some dream themes are very common.....

Possibly you based your dreams on a shared experience. For instance something on TV that day.
