All of us are sinners. Noone is perfect. If we did not pray for sinners then we do not pray for ourselves. If we prayed more for the sinners maybe the world would not have the problems it has. I have helped sinners everytime I help anyone. As the Bible says we are all sinners. There are saved sinners and lost sinners. I hope this helps. God bless you.

I just learned this (and yes I'm a sinner too). To pray for sinners I also assume you mean our enemies? I always knew this but I could not do it very often without feeling a grudge. I spoke to my pastor about it and he said God can't take care of those problems unless you let go of it. If you continue to harbor the angry feelings in your heart you are not allowing him to take care of the problem. God just sits back and says I'll wait. When you finally do tell Him all of the situation and you confess up your feelings of anger (etc.) and ask Him to reclaim the grounds you gave to satan then you are letting Him in to help. Then he cited some places in the bible where people took matters into their own hands because of their anger instead of giving it to God. One person he named was moses when he killed the eygptian guard and how he ran away from eygpt.

Why pray?
why not do something before they become sinners...like create after school programs, homeless shelters that cater to getting people off the streets instead of just housing them...
how about not arresting drug users--so they don't go to prison and become actual criminals...
praying is just a simple solution for people who don't want to do anything about the real problems...

When you accept Jesus as your Lord and savior, the bible refers to you as a saint. Praying for sinners is known as intercessory prayer and is done regularly in many churches. In fact Jesus said 'my house shall be a house of prayer'. The word sin comes from the ancient Roman word used by soldiers for referring to the bull's eye mark on an archery target. Sin means 'missing the mark'. When we miss obeying the instructions of Jesus we 'miss the mark',thus making a sin. Jesus taught that loving your neighbor was like being a good samaritan. Places like rescue missions and rehab centers are helping people who have 'missed the mark'. Churches also do this and refer many people to christian rescue missions. There are also many evangelists who travel around the world finding open doors to help people find their way to Jesus. Our government has a policy of foreign aid to needy countries. The United Way is another example. Even prisons are a service to people who need to pay their debt of injustice to society. In fact the bible says,'all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God'. We are all sinners helped by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.

No, since I believe in free will, it would be useless to ask God to make a sinner stop sinning. So no, it wouldn't make any difference. Only the sinner can stop him/herself from sinning. It's an internal thing.

Hmmm devil isn't a sinner...he's the Son Of Perdition, which potential he's unquestionably valueless. We, as we are in human flesh are sinners. devil, till now he replaced into devil, replaced into Lucifer. At this factor, while he made the determination to insurrection against God's plan, he replaced into an angel, so his decision replaced into an eternal decision, along with his eternal effects. Our possibilities are eternal besides, in spite of the indisputable fact that, we can repent the place we are incorrect and turn lower back to Heavenly Father in the process the atonement of Christ. Lucifer had to grant us no decision in worship, and YHWH and Christ did, and that's why he isn't a 'sinner'.

I have. I do.
I believe it's right.
"He that converts a sinner from the error of his way, shall save a soul from hell, and shall hide a multitude of sins""
I love leading people to Jesus.
There is no greater joy than seeing prayer answered when a sinner becomes a saint by His blood.

Look in the mirror... and you'll see a sinner. According to your religion (which I don't even believe in), we're all sinners. No one is perfect. Why pray for others when you should be improving yourself? Typical hypocrisy.
