I wouldn't put anyone in jail simply because the system doesn't work... something like over 90% of all criminals will return to serve time and the cycle just repeats itself until eventually the crime is serious enough where they will be locked up forever or put to death. This may scare petty offenders into obeying but the vast majority of convicts could care less, and just see prison as a free meal/place to stay and a way to learn how to be a better criminal...

No, your ex could not put you in jail for putting your son up for adoption. However, if it could be proved that he did not give up his parental rights the adoption could be overturned and he could have a right to take the child and raise it as his own. However, the adoption agency that you went through would know all of these laws and would have made sure that the adoption was legal. As far as I can tell, he's hurt and angry and looking for revenge. You did a courageous thing. Don't let other's feelings bring you down.

Carla Homoka, and for any non-Canadians who may not know who she is, she helped her husband rape and murder several young women, including her own sister. She was in jail for ten years or so, but she testified against her husband and the Crown made her a deal and she has been out for about and year and a half. She even has a kid now....sick, eh?

all child molesters, but move the cells into the Louisiana swamps and let the gators get them instead? Shouldn't be a problem after a year.

My uncle is a drug addict, con artist and everything in between. I know it isn't polite to wish misfortune on someone. I'm aware of Karma. But ole' uncle of mine sure would look good in a green jump suit, reading a dime novel in his 8 by 5 cell.
Could I choose his cellie as well? :)
