if it's shiny and Not oily, it's probably dry. be sure you are using a good (not oily) face lotion that is appropriate to your age and skin type. drink plenty of water too, this keeps the skin hydrated. then use a bit of powder to get rid of the shine, just a light powder, can be pressed or loose. that will take the shine off.

Buy Corn Silk translucent powder. It absorbs any oil and shine, while not adding any color. I've been using it on my nose for about 30 years!
Made by Sally Hansen, available at Walgreen's and WalMart.

You should try using MAC pressed blot powder. It goes on with almost no color, and makes you forehead look less shiny. It really does work, you can get it at Nordstroms and it costs $20

Well, silly goose, the shine is from oil. Your best bet is to use some oil absorbing sheets you can find at your local pharmacy/beauty store. I use CLEAN & CLEAR Oil Absorbing Sheets. They work well to mop up that excess oil.

coat it with lip gloss. cherry chapstick to be exact. in elementary school, i used to coat the inside of my desk with lip gloss, because it gave it a nice matte finish. and it smells good.
