If I become hungry, I become mean. I know I'm being irrational, I tend to know the reason is because I'm hungry but I get grumpy, rude and bossy. I also become weaker, but that to me makes sense. Are there any reasons for the radical emotional change or is it simply a symptom of hunger? I had blood work done awhile back looking to find out why I am tired so frequently but nothing unusual came up.

Thanks!

just hunger. My sister's like that too. Very rude but eating stops it.

Sweetie, you need to understand that our bodies function by the food and liquids we take in. If it is depleted of food and nutrition then it reacts and you find that you become irrational, and mean. WELL THEN....you need nutrition more often, so see to it to have a snack more often like a nutrition bar, fruits, half a sandwich, yogurt. Something. If you know this about yourself, make it easier on everyone around you and have a snack. My Husband gets irritable, and short when he is really hungry. I make him eat something, chips n dip, salsa and chips, cut up fruit and cheese......to tide him over til dinner. It always helps. I get weak and shaky, and then I get an awful headache....so it happens to all of us, symptoms are different.
