I wouldn't if you know for absolutely sure that she has chicken-pox, just expose her to other children.....
Treatment is pretty straight forward. Just call the doctor and let them know that she has it and ask if they have any additional suggestions..

No you don't have to but if her temperature spikes and doesn't respond to children's motrin or tylenol then you should bring her in right away.
You may already know this but don't give her aspirin because this can cause something called Reye's syndrome.
Sometimes county public health appreciates knowing about any contagious diseases such as flu, chicken pox, etc. So you may want to call them and let them know or ask their advice.
A little advice, don't keep her bundled up too much or give her a bath that is too warm. I remember well that heat can make the chicken pox lesions flare up even more and can make the itching worse. You don't want her to get chilled but you also don't want her to be too warm. I hope she feels better soon, good luck. :)

its a good idea..just so he can take a look. Usually chicken pox in kids that young is a minor thing..but I think there is some critical advice a doctor needs to tell you rather than just looking it up on the internet. Like never give a kid aspirin who has chicken pox..something like that..I can't remember exactly.

you can call the doctor and talk to either him or his nurse. more than not they would want you to keep your daughter at home to keep from spreading the chicken pox to other kids in the pediatric office. my two kids and myself had the chicken pox all at the same time. we took cool oatmeal baths and took benedryl for itching. so I'm sure what you are doing for your daughter is fine

It would be an act of kindness. There are anti-viral drugs available now that can dramatically decrease the severity of the illness. Call the doctor and find out what to do.

Well, they usually just tell you to soak in oatmeal bath and use calamine lotion, i would say do that, and watch for high fevers(if any), if it goes over 101.0 I would say take her to the E.R. otherwise give her childrens tylenol, if you feel worried, call the doctors office and talk to the nurse, she can give you her thoughts on what should be done.

I would only to have the M.D. document the fact that she had the chicken pox. Also, it's a communicable disease.

You can just call the doctor and ask. And if you do go, let them know as soon as you come in - do not wait in any lines or in the waiting room. They'll put you in a back room.

No, just use the anti calamine lotion and don't let her scratch it because it will leave scars but no the dr won't do anything about it, except tell you what your already know.
