Pill Bug

A common name for insects that eat decaying plant matter and mulch. They are harmless to plant material and similar to a sow bug

Unlike sow bugs, they will roll up into a ball when disturbed. They are also referred to as "rolly pollies"

No, they are detrivores which means they eat decaying plants and animals...sometimes live plants. The reason I know is because I'm taking entomology this semester.

They are actually called Pill Bugs.
