Prayer is what people do that don't know about meditation.
The truth one struggles to reveal in their life is frequently not expressive in words. Those that practice "speaking in tongues" get meaning out of it because they express pure emotion devoid of words and their limitations, but there are better ways to go about it.

The true definition of prayer is often misused to mean a kind of petition or complaint to a deity.
Needless to say, this form of prayer IS uneccesary for both man and God(s) alike.
The true definition of prayer is a form of conversation between man and a particular God(s), for the purpose of petitioning God(s), but also for receiving instruction. The entire process is a means of honoring/worshiping said deity- which is the primary purpose of prayer.

God created prayer as a means for His creation to communicate with Him. And yes, we do need it.
Whether or not you agree with that, doesn't stop Christians from enjoying the real fellowship with our Creator that prayer affords us.
And "nonsense" is spelled with 2 e's.
God bless!

It is how we develop a relationship with Jehovah. When you want to be friends with another person, do you talk to them? Do you learn and use their name? Or do you just say, "Hey you!" all the time?
Prayer is how this is done with the true God.

Praying is a ritual.
Like most rituals it is used to calm the mind and order the thoughts.
Other than that it has no effect whatsoever.

to pray at least can make you feel better
because it is normal that the human being needs to let out the emotions by talking to someone and if he only has prayers to let things come out of their chests then it can be a grate relief

Praying is a way of doing something, without really doing anything (beneficial).
