I have had a rash for 7 days I went to the doctor and he said it is shingles. I thought shingles affected the 50 and over population.

Shingles can affect anyone. It is most common in older adults, but anyone with a poor immune system can get it.
It comes from the chicken pox virus.
Rash usually lasts 2-3 weeks and pain 6.
Cool wet dry compresses can ease discomfort

Well you don't say how old you are.... but one can get Shingles at any age after being ill with chicken pox.....

Nope...Shingles is a variation on the chicken pox virus and any one can get it.
