yes, im a teenager, and we dont go to church. it is just i had the best science teahcer, and he is aetheist, and he didnt teach us to be that. But seriously guys, i dont believe!!! If people were to pay more attention in science, maybe even more would agree with me. I believe that the afterlife is what you want it to be. I believe that the afterlife will be joyous, and that the rest of my eternity will be happy. I respect people who believe, but hell has been proven to not be under the groud. Our spirits cannot jsut float away, there has to be an answer!! There is no way that we go in the clouds; we would get hit by airplanes!!!! I see the world to follow science, and that there is no such thing as magic, it is just science that we do not know yet. I dont believe in god. Is that such a crime?!?! Do you guys see my point?? You learned that ghosts didnt exist, right? And Santa Claus? How is God any different?

As Prairiecrow said, do you have to? If you don't have 'that kind' of relationship with them, where you would feel comfortable telling them your religious choice, then why do they NEED to know? I'm not advocating that you lie to them, but if it doesn't give you, or them, solace to discuss religion, then some topics are best left silent.

It sounds like you have some real questions that are bothering you.

Continue to ask those questions. But, please just because you are asking these questions it doesn't make you an atheist. You can believe in God and still not believe what Christianity says. The only options are not just Christianity or atheism. There are many other options

In Islam, science and religion do not conflict. Who says that The Hell-fire is below the ground? Certainly not The Islamic Faith!

Where are we after we die and are buried? Islam says that we are in our grave...not in the clouds!

Please, investigate into other religions before dismissing the existence of The Creator.

Are you sure you're atheist? You should know how to spell it if you label yourself as such. Go ahead and tell your parents you don't understand all that religious stuff. They should be open minded enough to think about it.

Don't rush to spill the beans if it will cause trouble for you. It may be hard for you to maintain the pretence, but it may keep the peace.

Once you're free of them and in a position to tell them about it, make sure beforehand that you brush up on your atheist arguments: you'll probably have a lot of arguments along the lines of 'You should believe in God because X'.

Read Dawkins and Hitchens. And good luck.

I don't know how old you are, but why is it important for you to tell them? If you a teenager or younger living at home you have to follow their rules. If it means going to church on Sunday, go. Just say the words and sing the songs, that should not alter your views.

If you are an adult and are on your own, again, why is it important for them to know?

As much as I would like to see you follow after God, I respect your choice - that is, you are not doing something just to make someone else happy.

Anyway, be honest, but do not engage in an argument. You may even wait until the subject comes up. Just be honest and respectful.

In the meantime, I pray for the mercy of God, that he would reveal Himself to you.

Buy them a copy of Letter to a Christian Nation.

It's short and to the point.

No reason they need to know. Religion, or atheism, is strictly personal. It is no one business except your.

If you were comfortable with your belief and mature you wouldn't be running around whining "they'll get mad at me!"
