Hello. I have a few questions for you. Do you get depressed because kids make fun of you? or are they making fun of you because you are usually depressed? I too am glad you did not succeed in cutting your wrists.Would like to know what you and your Mom argued about that made you want to do such a thing. Take life with a grain of salt, a little at a time. We were not all made the same and therefore not alike. You have a special reason for being here as we all do. I am sure you have heard many famous people were not well like by other children, yet look where they are now. Uh, practice your spelling instead of worrying about what they think. Email me if you need further help.

Get a grip on yourself. Think about it a minute. How bad, really, could your life be? You...what?....live in the suburbs, have an iPod, a Playstation, and a computer in your house, if not in your room? You get enough to eat, and nobody beats you on a regular basis. I think you are at an age when all kids think they are being made fun of. "This, too, shall pass".(look up the quote at this site, it will enlighten you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/This_Too_Shall_Pass_(Phrase)
So, no, you are not Emo. And quit the silly "I'm going to cut myself" crap. Like you said, glad you didn't succeed. Talk about giving other kids something to make fun of! Okay, if I were pc, I wouldn't say that, but we all know it is true. So just chill....you will be okay. By this time next year, you will have a whole different outlook....start working on it now. You may be the next hottest rock star, and wouldn't you look stupid with slash marks on your arms?

Pretending to want kill yourself is "emo", actually trying is called serious depression. Emo gets fixed by the person growing up and realising they were idiots when they were younger, depression gets fixed through years of therapy and maybe going on drugs. You've got a very serious illness and it will only get better if you take steps to make yourself well again.
Your first step would be to go to your mom and tell her what you did. If you don't feel like you can talk to her about it, go to a guidence councellor at school, or make an appointment with your family doctor. You need to get some help. if you don't, things will just get worse in your own head.
Good luck.

just because you get depressed doesn't mean your emo. but if you get to feeling like that again seek professional help. plz.
you show your emotions and that's why the kids pick on you.
act like what they say doesn't bother you. actually don't let it bother you. lol. they are just kids with the same insecurities you have. the only difference is they are mean to other kids to hide their own insecurities.
be more confident in yourself. join groups like drama or music or soccer. ignore the ignorance and enjoy yourself.
i'm glad your still here.
study a bit more and your spelling will get better.
apply yourself and find out who you want to be.
set goals and strive to reach them.
and just try to be happy.
good luck to you.

that's not 'emo', that's depressed. You need to go get some counseling and talk to someone and stop worrying what you're labeled as. You've got bigger issues to contend with than what box you fit in. EMO is a style, you are a person. Enjoy being a person.

not really.
definition of emo:
Emo. Short for emotional. Emo. A genre of punk rock. Emo. A dress code of tiny t-shirts and horn-rimmed glasses. Type the word "emo" into your average search engine and you'll get over three million results that will encompass nearly that many different opinions of what emo actually is. The general approach to the term is a lot like the approach to pornography, "I can't tell you exactly what it is, but I'll know it when I see (or hear) it."
The history of emo is somewhat less ambiguous than its current meaning. "Emo" music developed out of the D.C. punk scene in the '80s. In its original incarnation, emo was short for emocore, or emotional-hardcore. The name was applied to hardcore punk rock bands who distinguished themselves from their peers by adding an emotional component to their music, dealing with sadness and love and angst in their lyrics. The music was also characterized by particularly dramatic vocals which, at best, left the audience in an emotionally charged state, crying or screaming. These days, emo has been popularized and sent into the mainstream through bands like Dashboard Confessional, Taking Back Sunday and Saves the Day.
Emo music has even inspired its own subcultural style. Take your average Rites of Spring fan and you get someone who looks a lot like Weezer's Rivers Cuomo--nerdy glasses, vintage tees, cuffed jeans, Converse sneakers and slightly shrunken tops. Black hair and straight bangs, tight hoodies and thrift shop attire are also associated with emo. And while emo devotees are notoriously upfront about their feelings, instead of wearing their hearts on their sleeves, they tend to favor ironic slogans and band logos.
Lately, labeling someone as "emo" is something of a put-down, a stand-in for "overly emotional" or "melodramatic." The implication is that they are excessively moody and angsty, prone to crying jags and plagued by a love of bad poetry. Hot Topic even issued a patch that read, "cheer up, emo kid!" But for those who call themselves emo, the term means something more pure. At its core, emo is all about being upfront with your emotions. Or, as one "expert" defined it, "emo is like being Goth, but much less dark, much more Harry Potter."

Actually , yes . VERY . you should think on the bright side of things more so you won't actually do anything that might make you regret in the future . we are all in these same world together . People should support each other then making fun of people who are depressing . Anyway , try to look on the bright side more . you have my support .

You need to talk to your mom about this...believe me she loves you and wants to know. As for the kids teasing you f*ck them! People come in and out of your life so quickly that they aren't worth bating an eye at.
