If you check out the website at www.subway.com >nutrition, it says, as you know, the salad has 60 calories. It does have a note in little text at the bottom:

Subs with 6 grams of fat or less include Italian or wheat bread, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, green peppers and olives. All other sandwich values include cheese unless otherwise noted.

Salads contain meat/poultry, standard vegetables and do not include salad-dressing or croutons.

Addition of other condiments and fixings will alter nutrition values.

The 'standard vegetables' include lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, green peppers, olives, and onions. Hope this helps!

I'm not sure. However, most basic restaurant salads, both fast food and sit down, consist iceberg lettuce and sprinklings of shaved carrots and other little things for color and maybe a tomato slice or two on the side. Rather boring. If this is what the Subway salad is, then it's no wonder that it's only 60 calories. As it is, I'm not too impressed with the Veggie Delite sandwich, as it's just some paltry veggies on white bread. I woudln't even think that the salad would be filling, let alone interesting.

As for specifically what is in it, you'll have to go to the restaurant and find out.
