how do i keep my hair dead straight when i go out? any tips?

Ok, here are some tips...
after getting out of the shower keep your hair in a towel for around 30 minutes (if you dont have that much time 15 minutes will do) than blow dry untill dry (no need to blow out unless you have unmangably curly hair) than do an under layer, straihten it with a flat iron; put it to the side than unclip another secton (right side or left side of hair) straighten that, put it to the side than straighten the final side. than.. go in front of a fan and keep your hair there until cooled. if it doesnt cool right away DO NOT move your hair around or it will get flippy try and keep it in place. Than spray hairspray in ur hands (not too much) and smooth it out through your hair and, viola! you have pin straight hair :D

Put an oil sheen on it. I guess anything with some grease would help make it shine. The product called 'Shine' is a good thing to use. There are lots of things out there. I haven't tried them all. It also depends on your type of hair. The curlier, the more taming it needs. Hopefully someone will give you comments on the products they have used. You might want to make a comment on what of hair you have.

After straightning your hair, you can get this spray, kind of like hairspray, that keeps it the same for the whole day.
Or, you could comb it every once in a while. My friend needs to do that when she straightens her hair.

well i ensure that when i do straighten my hair, its completly straight, not a slight kink, then i use this straightening spray, keep combing it and use an umbrella when it rains, or be smart and buy a jacket with a hood. i still don't understand why people have coasts without a hood, lol i can't speak......

well if you aint already invest in a pair of ghd's they rock and then maybe brushing hairspray through your hair but do this with your head upside down to add volume!!

Tip your head upside down and run a teeny amount through.

try a straight iron then hairspray it. make sure you go to bed with it straight too

get a chi iron! this is expensive, but it really works especally when using it with bio silk ( you can also find that at a salon along with the chi) good luck!
