You wish! No, not true, you file one tax return, but show your total income.

Joyceel isn't correct, though - child support, and gifts given to you no matter how much they are, are not taxable income to you and you don't show them on your tax return.

False. You will get two W2 forms and you will combine all figures indicated on your W2s and place them on the appropriate lines on your tax forms.

Absolutely NOT!! Its based on your entire income, money gifted to you over a certain amount and even child support has to be claimed as well
