You would need to format your harddrive. Be careful with this, because it means that you will lose everything on it! INCLUDING the current os on there now! You will have a blank slate!

You use a program called checkdisk/scandisk. It is included with all older versions of windows, or/and you can even download it for free from the internet.

Then you format your drive.

Really easy stuff, so you shouldn't have a problem.

Just be aware, that the process can take a long time!

Then pop in your new os disk, and start installing windows!

Good luck, and hope this helped you out!

If you wish to lose all your existing data, boot from the OS cd, at the first prompt select install, at the second use the D option to delete the current OS partition. Then create a new partition to load to. You will need to re-install your hardware drivers.

There's an old DOS command line protocol dubbed fdisk that will wipe -EVERYTHING- from your drive - be wary, as none of this is recoverable by Stage 1 and 2 recovery, and only use it if you know what you're doing.
