im sorry but im not sure what you are asking.. he speaks clearly but not so clearly.. he follows instructions.. but he wont say hi to people unless you tell him to. sounds fine.
all of these things are normal.. he likes to walk on his tiptoes.. also normal. some kids like to skip when they walk.. they are just experimenting with new things and new ways of doing things.. he's showing his independence.. and that's fine.
if you had written that he wasn't talking and if you had said that his words were not coming out clearly then i would say to "worry". but you should feel good about the fact that he is doing as well as he is.. he is right on time.. that's great.
first time mommies have a tendency to worry because they see other children doing what they think their child should be doing.. or people will say that their child spoke earlier or walked earlier.. don't compare him to anyone else. all children do stuff on their own time, and in their own way.
good luck and god bless.

I think you really don't have much to worry about. I have a daughter who when she was 2 wasn't really speaking much. We ended up having her checked out though by the folks at Early Intervention who worked with her a little, and now (she's almost 5) she speaks fine. She's a little off with her speech - some kids speak much clearer than she does, but you can completely understand her - even a complete stranger can... There's just a few words that she has issues with, especially words with "R" in them. Other than that though, I think you're ok, your son's ok, and all will be ok.
If it will make you feel more comfortable though, try speaking with the folks in your local dept of health or wherever the Early Intervention program would be run by for your state, and have your son evaluated.
Just my 2 cents though.

He sounds OK to me.And the tip toe walking can also be caused by the muscles in the heal being to short. You can try gentle stretching exercises And sometimes a surgery can help that if it remains a problem.I just read something that using building blocks helps develop language. And if you still have worries maybe try a different Dr. and get a second opinion.

He sounds just fine. Don't correct his speaking, just make sure you speak correctly and engage him in conversation all the time. As for telling him to say stuff...that's a kid for ya. They go through those phases...usually around 2-3, then again around 6 or so. It's all very normal.
Same for the tip toes...my neice did it until she was 4-5...we used to say she was going to be a ballerina. He's fine don't worry!

Your child is totally normal. I have two boys, 6 and 10. And they also did the tippy toe thing. The saying hi thing as well, is something to expect as well. I think all kids do it every so often.

my younger brother used to walk around on his tip toes all the time when he was young and my almost 2 year old doesn't really say much whereas my 3.5 year old was talking fluently at 18 months i think it just depends on the child and don't worry about all those stupid people who insult you it is a reasonable question to ask

He sounds like a very bright, intelligent little toddler..... It is very common for chlidren his age to talk in words that cannot be understood very well or even stutter...... I would just continue to encourage his talking and talk plain to him - no baby talk. Don't stress over it - but do continue observing. You could contact the school and see if they have a speech therapist that can evaluate him. He sounds completely normal to me.
