I'm a sophomore in High School who is involved HEAVILY in Theatre. Last year I met a girl who is the complete opposite of me in every way imaginable and I always have a great time when I'm around her. We flirt a bit here and there, anything from talking about ourselves to her reenacting an entire show in 2 minutes just to get a laugh. The problem is that she is 4 years younger than me. I can't tell if she likes me or not. Everytime I go over to her school to help with their production, I am greeted with squeels of excitement. I can't tell if it is because I had spent so much time with them the previous year or if she likes me. I can't decide whether I should take the risk of asking her out yet. Besides the fact that a 4 year age difference is a big factor.

No girl sqeels with excitement(is that spelled right?) just because a person that helps alot and is there alot is there! She is totally crushing on you! But that age thing does get in the way! What you need to do is just flirt more! I've been there with dating older guys and my parents were ok with it!(if you're worried about parents) but her parents may be different! Which would totally suck for you! Just see if she looks at you alot from across the rooms that you may be in with each other! Girls look if they like!
I really hope this helps and helps you make up your mind! Good Luck

I don't know man. How bad do you want this? People WILL talk if you try this and parents may even forbid it.
A big reason people go for these impossible situations is that they imagine this un-gettable or forbidden person has some special quality that all the other more available people in their life don't have. And, thus, this forbidden/unavailable person becomes an obsession.
This is usually done because the person has unfulfilled needs, and sees no way to satisfy them except to have the possibility of a magic person come into their life. Try to think about what you want here. What are you trying to accomplish? What need or needs are you trying to satisfy here?
One possibility I can think of is that you have a person or people in your life that you believe are restricting you unfairly or unjustly, exerting too much authority. You are angry about this. But you have stuffed your anger. Now it's unconciously looking for a way to express itself. Now here it is, an 11 year old girl. Something you're not SUPPOSED to be doing. What a great way to say f-you and get back at those people you're so mad at, to say "Hey, I can do what I want and I don't have to listen to you."

I don't know i think that you should wait to ask her out until she is a little bit older. That is quite a bit of difference when your still in high school...and she's in junior high. She would probably say yes though if you did....because being asked by am older man seems flattering when your around that age. so the decision is up to you!

She's 4 years younger then you... does that make her 12 or 13? Either way, don't do anything about it.

well in my opinion i dont date someone more than 2 years apart from me. but if you really like her just go for it. dont be afraid of possibly being rejected. she might just feel your too old. shes in what 6th grade?
