No, it's not you. ABC's coverage of the chase has been awful. I really miss the after race interviews. We are lucky to get the first and second place driver now. But, when Fox covers it we usually get the top five drivers, and maybe an interview from a few that had a bad race, to find out their perspective on what went wrong.

Also, last week in Charlotte, we missed three wrecks because of those long commercials. I am not saying that I am a NASCAR watcher only because of the wrecks, but I sure don't like to miss such major events like that in the race. Nothing worse than going to commercial, and coming back to a yellow flag and drivers in the pits. At least Fox would break in to the coverage if their was an accident during a commercial.

Also, when there is a wreck we have to watch it ten times on instant replay. Wouldn't be so bad, but nine of the shots are not that good. "Watch the 99 car way in the back, he is just coming around the corner and WHAM". The view has like fifteen cars way in the distance. By the time I find him in the replay the accident is over, lol. I can't ever tell what started it. Then the last shot is the close up of what happened, and it's like....why didn't they just show that one in the first place!!

Also, the guy at the cut away car talking about spring rubbers and what else is rediculous. I wouldn't care if they did it on caution laps after the drivers have come out of the pits, but don't show me it when they are racing. I want to watch the race, not some idiot holding a spring rubber!!

It is definitely not just you. ABC's coverage is not good at all, there are entirely too many commercials and I do know that the commercials pay for the race to be televised but the line needs to be drawn somewhere on the amount of time ads are played. I also miss the post race interviews.

ABC coverage is terrible. There are no after race interviews and they go to commercial all the time. They also go to that thing with tim brewer waaaay to much. Rusty is just annoying and he doesn't no when to shut up. If there is a wreck they dont even show what happened half of the time. ABC's coverage makes FOX's award worthy.

guess we all are just too happy with FOX coverage to give ABC and ESPN a fair shot

but the race coverage is lousy, the announcers talk like they're from MARS, and we fans are treated as if we're total morons

the only cool part of the ABC coverage is the drafting color shots

No dude, it's not you, ABC does a terrible job. I think we watch 10 laps then 5 minutes of commercials, then 10 laps and another 5 minutes of commercials, very hard to watch. And I do miss the after race interviews.

This was asked last night. Yes. I answered it. I turned on the ball game when they began showing pit stops rather than live racing. They had to keep showing re-plays due to commercials , I didn't even know who won until I went to the jayski.com web site Sunday morning. I'm a forty year fan-first time I ever did that.

ABC is so dumb. for the indy 500 during commercials they show the race in a small box next to it sorta like pip, but why can't they do that for NASCAR. ABC has good coverage for IRL but seem to not care that much about NASCAR and the fans. we are getting jipped and ABC doesn't deserve the rights to broadcast NASCAR.

They are the worst ones to cover races. They can't pronounce the driver's names, they don't know who is driving what car half the time. No interviews and that annoying Rusty Wallace. Grrrrrr.

Totally agree. Coverage from ABC is awful. I would love to see Fox stick with NASCAR for the entire season, but they have football and unfortunately for us NASCAR fans that is a bigger money maker.
