The first two thirds were all alone the lines of "Jesus is love!", "Jesus loves you!" and "Jesus loves cheese!", and the last bit was basically along the lines of "All gays are evil devilspawn and will burn forever and ever and ever and ever in a pit of fire and sharp pointy things".
Slight contradiction methinks?

Yethinks right.

So many fundamentalists just don't understand that hate of anybody is contrary to Jesus's teaching. It was so simple: love one another. But they insist of this kind of hate mongering.

Go figure.

i have an a lot less annoying way- God would not exist, so do what makes you satisfied! If that is consensual and between adults, then have relaxing! obviously, Jesus by no skill negated the former testomony (Matthew 5:18-20) so all of Leviticus's warnings ought to nonetheless be said. which skill no shellfish for YOU, Christians! in basic terms because human beings do not pay interest to it would not propose it isn't contained in the Bible and hence "the know God". So, Christians, why do not you nonetheless stone non-virgins to death, alongside with adulterers and witches? the way in which to stay an ethical existence is to toss out the Bible it really is so finished of violent contradictions (thou shalt no longer kill...till the fellow is gay. Or a witch. Or now no longer a virgin. Or speaking back to their mum and dad. Or worshipping different Gods.) it astounds me that folk even take it heavily in any respect.

Methinks you are right. What a huge contradiction. Jesus is love. So, why do so many fundamentalists choose to hate? Oh, it's a "sin" (????) for two people who happen to be of the same gender to love each other, but it's not a sin for these self-righteous, self-appointed judges, hypocrites, and "modern-day Pharisees" to spread propaganda and condemn other people? This is insane, methinks.

Jesus is cool with the gays, because he's F-ing Jesus! God Almighty, Someone read the Bible-PLEASE-...this craziness is just made up by religious authorities for a number of stupid reasons, not the least of which is the denial of deep seeded homosexual urges that eventually erupt in various crazed sprees of deviant sexual weirdness...Oh man, I'm gay and I'm astounded that the only way for me to get into heaven is to live a life of hell. whatever though man.
I'm going to go play hopscotch with Jesus,
-peace

THAT is xianity.
I'd like to think that this type of advertising chases most prospective victims away but I know there are always some people who revel in victim-hood, enslavement and FEAR.

Some people are oblivious to Hypocrisy and Irony - the imaginary man in the sky had immunised them against glaring contradictions, cruelty and other general inanities and insanities.

Please remember this. Not all Christians feel this way. Jesus said to "love you neighbor, as you would love yourself." I don't ever recall Him saying, "love your neighbor as you would love yourself, unless they are homosexual."

Christians, or anybody else for that matter, should never tell someone that they are going to burn in Hell. There is no such thing as a perfect Christian, so every time they point a finger at someone, maybe they should look in a mirror and point a finger at themselves. Jesus also said, "Don't worry about the speck in my eye when you have a plank in your own."

I think I got a two-by-four in my eye.

Please don't let the ignorance of some fundamentalists sour you on Christianity. They don't speak for us.

It's not contradictory at all.

It specifically states that Jesus loves you. I think most Christians would agree that this is true.

Then it shows that the people who put out the pamphlet are not actually Christians, because they hate gays.

Note that it doesn't say "Jesus thinks all gays are evil devilspawn..." because they know its not true.

I am a 60 year old heterosexual with two great nephews who are homosexuals. I believe that homosexuality is genetically based and not a lifestyle. No one would want to live with the hate the world seems to offer them. I once sat down with both of them and asked if I could make a magic pill that would immediately change you to a heterosexual would you take it? Both answered no. So I think your question is fair and good. I believe your leaflet is a perfect example of bigotry.

Oh no, no contradiction. If you read through the entire Bible, you'll find that Jesus never said ONE SINGLE WORD about homosexuals. So for all we know, he DOES love homosexuals just as much as the next person.

Please don't let people think that all Christians believe that way. I am a Christian, and yes, I believe the homosexual sex act is a sin, just like fornication, theft, murder, lying, etc.

God will forgive them all, but the person should cease to commit the sin once he has been forgiven. Otherwise, he is flaunting his sin in the face of God.

None of us is perfect. That is why Jesus came to pay the penalty for all our sins. All we have to do is ask forgiveness and accept the gift of salvation. If we are sincere, we will try not to sin intentionally again.
